the only thing that bugs me about text messages are forwards and people who think since they're not calling, that they're not annoying you.

Fucking hate text messages... last girl I was seeing would text me nonstop. Either pick up the damn phone or find me on AIM. I don't mind talking on the phone at all, though... my last serious relationship, the girl hated the phone, our longest phone convo together was like maybe 5 minutes :P - but phone calls from my friends are really welcome during my commute home.
