...and better-looking than every wii game to date. i popped it in this evening and OMFG the art direction, textures, special effects, environment effects, and modeling are easily the best of the last-gen fighting games. it pisses all over soul calibur 2 and doa2U. omg just omg. namco am gods.

why the fuck dipshits play sc2 instead of sc3 when they a) own a ps2 and b) sc3 is better-looking, better balanced, and has more characters is beyond me. oh that's right, they owned a gamecube first and are gay for link. nintendo fans should be banned from fighting games 4ever.

I fully admit that that SCIII is amazing. But why the fucking fuck did Namco not release it also on Gamecube? There's absolutely no reason NOT to.

My group of friends stopped playing SC2 (all 3 versions of it) as soon as one of us got SC3. I suck at fighting games in general, but for some reason I'm actually able to play the SC games decently. I don't know why.

because the gamecube hardware couldn't handle it, because the gamecube's tiny discs couldn't hold all the content, because the gamecube controller is crap for fighting games, and because everyone should have owned a ps2 by then, anyhow!

Because SC2 is still a bit more complex, and doesn't have as many glitches/gimped game play. That's the "official word" from the so-called pros. The game was released at home first, and it didn't get the proper testing, so it suffered because of it. Doesn't have shit to do with the Game Cube dude.

Personally I don't care and I like playing SC3. It's fun as fuck to play versus matches with randomly-created characters.

And it's definitely the best-looking 3D fighter from the last gen. Still looks amazing, especially on the PS3 with enhancements enabled.

...what? Seriously, sarcasm? I can't tell anymore, even with you. I mean using a sales age argument as justification for a game not appearing on superior hardware? Not to mention thinking there would be no improvement? Even on Gamecube (aside from content).

Also, shouldn't you blame Sony fans for this considering they're the only ones that received this game. And it still sold like ass. At least SCII PS2 sold pretty well. What happened?

But VF4 doesn't look as good as the arcade version. Soul Calibur III and DOA2U definitely look better. Tekken 5 too.

And it's not at the top, but I think KOF Maximum Impact 2 (And the original too, I guess) look really nice...very clean and resembling the character designers' artstyles.
