I don't like No Code, but Riot Act and their self-titled latest are pretty damn awesome. Vitalogy is my sentimental favorite, though, as it's the first of their albums I listened to.

It's tough for me to choose between Ten and Vs...but Ten. Vs. is actually the first of theirs that I listened to (other than all the songs I had heard on the radio before that).

I can't stand their newer stuff.

Whichever one that has Corduroy on it. Nah, I know it's Vitalogy, but it doesn't matter. Whatever album had that song on it would be the one I'm voting for. This topic reminds me I haven't listened to a single song of theirs in years.

I liked the one with "What's this life for" and "One". Eddie Vedder was kind of an arrogant asshole in the videos, though.

Vs is/was great, but it hasn't aged as well as I'd hoped. I hated Vitalogy when it came out, but it's actually aged better to the point where I nearly prefer it to Vs. Ten is awesome of course, but I've heard it 10 million times so...

I've never listened to another Pearl Jam album, even though I have them all on mp3. Vitalogy turned me off that much, and then I got into electronic music at the time. Now though, when a Vitalogy song comes up on my ipod I usually listen to it. Perhaps I'll give the album a listen tomorrow at work.

This thread helped me realize that STP had more quality albums than Pearl Jam.

But, I'm sure most people with taste already realizes this.

Core/Purple/Tiny Music >>> Ten/Vs./Vitalogy

Ten is probably the strongest album of those 6 ... but Vitalogy and Vs. are probably the weakest because they are so wildly uneven.

STP wasn't afraid to change up their music style .. push their music into new areas of modern rock. Pearl Jam remained static and got stale quickly, even regressing lyrically. Wieland's lyrics are far superior to anything Vedder has ever done.
