I think the real reason I haven't bought a next gen system is because I have a 12 inch SD TV that came with my apartment.

720 is fine, most games cant run 1080p without weird framerate issues. I have a 32 inch LCD widescreen omg omg samsung

this game's 1080p is sooooo fake and upscaled anyway

when playing the demo at that resolution, it really didn't look like a native signal

so it's probably better to set the PS3 for 720p and let the HDTV's scaler do the job

perhaps but there will be a bunch of games that will offer a native 1080p signal and

that type of screen is future-proof, whereas over time 720p will become more and more obsolete, seeing as 1080p oughts to be next-next gen's norm

if you want to view Blu-Ray and HD-DVD movies at the highest resolution, you need a 1080p screen

and all current 720p 360 and PS3 games upscale REALLY well to 1080p, the picture really doesn't look any uglier

1080p screens are getting cheaper and cheaper, and will be cheap at the end of 2007

Yep, that's my experience too, even after having played dozens of 360 games. So far the PS3 line-up is a bit better than the 360 one after just a few months spent on the market.

Eh, I don't see anything either. And it seems very few do but hey whatever. They enjoy downloable Tekken games and Motorstorm for 600, be my guest.

I find very little to play on PS3, I mean sure, the two whole games I own are great, but the downloadable games are a joke. The Tekken series has become a mockery of itself and I find very few redeeming qualities in its fighting engine or its visual style.

FlOw has more in common with something like a lava lamp than an actual game. It's something to be watched. You'll find yourself infinitely more intrigued by the shapes and colors that evolve throughout its experience than its relatively scarce gameplay mechanics. It's basically a piece of computer art that happens to be controllable via the Sixaxis controller.
