I never played a JetSetRadio game before, the case was in good condition, and it was cheaper than my lunch. I had to get it. Is SegaGT a good game?

GT is better than gran turismo in racing but it had a lot of money management I remember.  I liked it.  If you can handle the budget/tuning work and can drive the manual to pass the licenses (like gran turismo) than it's one of the funner driving games on xbox.  forza rapes it though.

So it's a simulator? Meh. I'll still try it out though...

it isn't as simmy as forza since but the handling is realistic and there's a lot of gameplay necessary in terms of budget and tuning.  the AI sucked though and would rubber band a lot.

Thanks for mentioning this game. I lent it and Gun Valkyrie to a friend last summer and he still has them. What really pisses me off is that he hasn't even played them. :maf

We made a war with the vietnamese
We loved lsd, we died easily
Can we just say cest la vie?
So what! say what! for your own sake
Do you have a headache or heartbreak?
Are you made or broken by the birthday cake?
You may be slow on the uptake
I pour pot in the birthday cake
So what! say what! for my own sake
Watch out yo! here I come yo!

Turn up the tv! do you agree?
Yeah, Im talking turkey take it from me
Im gonna show my love for my dove

And now you can play it on 360 too!

good catch, sega GT was highly underrated imo.  i enjoyed it much more than gran turismo, but probably because it was dumbed down and easy to pick up and play.

JSRF is definitely one of my favorite xbox 1 games as well.  don't let the JGR fanboys tell you otherwise.

If we get a new JSR, I want a mix between JSR and JSRF. It'd have the time limit, police/gangs chasing you through the level, and motion tagging from JSR; but with the huge levels and "Oh man, how do I get to that tag?" mentality of JSRF. Ultimate combo. The later levels of JSR are pretty much like that anyways, except it's pretty easy to find the tags. It'd bump the difficulty way up.

People say JSR is hard but it's pretty moderate to me.

Jet Set Radio is the only game that I've played all the way through in both Japanese and English.

I imported the JP version as soon as it came out, and spent a great deal of time during that summer of 2000 playing the fuck out of the game. And then, when the US version with extra levels came out, I spent even more time running through all over again.

Hell, even the GBA game was pretty cool.

Smilebit was merged with Amusement Vision, after the Sammy + Sega merger, to form a Sega division (number 1 I think?). This team did Yakuza (Ryu Ga Gotoku).

Smilebit was absorbed back into Sega when they merged with Sammy back in 2004. Since then, they've worked on J League Pro Soccer Club and Virtua Striker 4.

Didn't they work on Yakuza as well?

Well...Sega killed off the JSR license didn't they? It seems our chances of getting a new JSR are slim.

Personally, I want a new Panzer Dragoon (Saga 2 or otherwise).

The game was as low as $0.99 at one point.  I'll say that I bought both separately for $70.  That was the biggest mistake ever.  JSRF is all right, but I liked JGR 1000 times better.  Sega GT sucks badly with its horrible controls and messed up A.I. (shockingly, the demo was better than the game).  It sucks because I paid $40 on it, and only made $0.50 to trade it in. :(

I bought JSRF a few months after release for $30.  I still played the game for 6 hours, but just didn't have as much fun with it as I did JGR (I think I remember paying $30 for JGR, don't remember).  I might have expected too much out of it, because it was one of the reasons I bought an Xbox at launch (awaiting the game).  Oh well, Gun Valkyrie turned out way better than I thought, so I'm happy at least.

Best JSRF songs:

Fly Like A Butterfly
Funky Dealer
Teknopathetic
I Love Love You JSRF version
The Concept of Love
Baby T JSRF version
Humming The Bassline JSRF version
Rock It On remix JSRF version
Sneakman remix JSRF version
What About The Future
Bokfresh
Let Mom Sleep remix JSRF version
That's Enough remix JSRF version
Sweet Soul Brother remix JSRF version
Grace and Glory remix JSRF version

Pretty much the entire soundtrack, and the best songs are JSR remixes. No sight of Birthday Cake!

lol @ people who complain JSRF is easier.

JSR isn't that hard, folks. The hardest level is one that is basically one that simply just requires practice and knowing the level. Ain't too hard. Managed to get a JET on it my third try. Play JSRF's bonus stages and missions.
