Nah not so much. Our marriage is based on love in this situation. Also upbringing can assume different levels of maturity at different ages. The people who get married young and don't understand what marriage takes to keep alive are making the mistake. But the people who have parents that have stayed together, and have been educated to learn what is needed of both parties in marriage do well.

I know what I have given up and I know what I receive. I know it's work to keep love going strong, and requires constant attention. Age has nothing to do with it.

Much too old! Especially if you want children. A women's reproduction ability drops significantly after age 35. Not only that but it also becomes more difficult to conceive and you have a higher risk of having a child with birth defects and down syndrome from conceiving at such an older age.
