The building where I would work (hopefully, crossing fingers) is on a street that's one street over from Broadway. Has anyone lived in NYC before? I've never been, but I think I would love it.

I hear the cost of living is kind of high but people get paid more for a comparative job in other cities. What do you guys think?

I really want to live in a big city, even if it's only for a year. You don't have to pay 1500 a month for rent, there's always options, like finding a roommate.

I think you should go visit NYC before you commit to living and working there. You could also always live a little bit outside the city and commute in.

If you want to move across the country and get a job in NYC, best to do it now while you are still young (you are what, 24-25 right?) while are willing and able to start a life nearly from scratch.

Michigan fucking sucks. I already told my parents when I am out of college I'll probably attempt to get a job out of state. I want out of here.

I am not too big of a fan of the mid-western life even though I spent the majority of my life so far in Ohio.

Ehhh, NYC is a bit overrated if you ask me. I live less than an hour away and can't remember the last time I actually was in the city, I think it was back in March or April or something. It's also expensive as hell to live in, even though you will definitely make more money than you would in say, Cleveland (or wherever in Ohio you are from). But good luck with getting the job!

I'm applying for government jobs so far, just because I'm already in the government so it will be pretty easy to stay in that field for now. At least until I can work my resume up and get more experience.

I really liked the whole Pacific Northwest area but I only went there for like a week on vacation... I'd probably be able to get a job at Boeing, in case I was interested in actually making a move out there... but I went during the dry season, is the rain as bad as they say? For now, till I save up $100k, I will be living on the Island though. The majority of my friends and family are from right here, and my job isn't that bad.
