Japafags of the world - your inhabitant tax might just have gone up...

mine took a $200+ a month hike.... good lord.

For the privelage of living in Meguro-ku , it will now spike me and the wife for $600+ a month each

I know only about 5 other people care (And 4 of those only because they want to laugh) but still... might be worth checking your tax papers when you get em this week to see how bad your extra rapage is.

[update] oh wait - did i say $600 each? i forgot i get a break on the housing we are in - the wife got slammed for double mine. $1800 a month combined in inhabitants tax ... that's WITHOUT rent, income tax, pension etc... OW MY BALLS.

Why live there? I don't want to derail this topic, but why do all the Japafags see Japan as some wholy bastion where nothing is ever wrong and that everything there is better then America when you can probably do the same damn thing IN America FOR cheaper.

Is it that most Japafags are pedo's and they like to teach underage Japs?

Well, if you are trying to learn Japanese, Japan has a lot of Japanese speakers. Just sayin'.

What I like about Japan, that I've never experienced anywhere else on my travels, is the quality of service. Japanese workers treat customers like god. That's their saying - customer is god. They treat you with respect and they never give you looks like you've just raped their children or something. Everytime I go back to the UK, I always miss this about Japan. People in England are really slack in comparison, or they're rude. When I went to the States, it was even worse - a combination of slack AND rude, like "why the fuck are you coming into my shop, do you expect me to serve you food or something?"

So you go to Japan because you can't deal with the pressures of people talking back to you? Sorry but that's not really a good excuse for living there. It sounds like most people who go to Japan are people who were losers in America, had no friends and no social life and needed to re-do there life over again.

The key difference is, not just Japanese restaurants are like that in Japan... ALL restaurants are like that... and shops, hotels, everything.

Do you have a comprehension problem? If I couldn't deal with the pressure of people talking back to me, I wouldn't be living at all. When I go out for a meal, to, you know, enjoy myself, I don't want to be served by some jerk who thinks he deserves a $10 tip just for breathing.

Which Japafags lead you to this insightful conclusion?

You.

If you can't deal with a less then 10 second interaction with a waiter, then is it really worth living in Japan just because the waiter doesn't treat you like -god forbid- a customer? You obviously have problems if you can't handle a 10 second interaction with someone.

How do you know he gets pissed off? Does he chase after you in the parking lot? Jesus, I can't comprehend the fact that you're living in a foreign country just because you couldn't fucking tolerate a person you see no longer then 10 seconds at a god damn restaurant. It's like you want them to suck you off under the table while you read your menu and decide on if you want "Mu Shu Shu Shu" or "Ragagagago".

Well then state why you live there instead of telling me one pointless incident. But still, I can't comprehend why you can't tolerate a 10 second conversation. "What are you folks having?" "I'd like the Hamburger, Well-Done, Hold the Catsup." That's it. I bet you're one of the people who try to engadge in a conversation with the McDonalds Staff.

I mean, if you had a more plausible situation, like a immigrant stole your job, or you're tired of all the cubans, peurto ricans, and every other minority coming into America and stealing our beneifts from whitey, then I'd whole-heartenly agree with you, but not with this whole "I can't stand waiter because he talks to me for 10 seconds!" shit.

Oh, I thought you meant like you order a hamburger and you're mad that the waiter didn't engadge you in a discussion on quantam physics and who would win in a battle between a man who goes in the future and a man who goes in the past.

Not being able to return something sucks dick, especially video games.

Teaching English in Japan is around the equivalent of being a Janitor in America. I guess it's worth it if you have an Japan fetish, though.

it's a shame that you guys have to pay so much tax over there.  do you even know what the tax $$$ are being used for?  i wish there were  places other than japan in asia worth living in.  most of asia is 3rd world or just a straight up shithole.  seoul seems like a cool place, at least they're a bit more advanced there.

i would move out of california in a heartbeat to experience different cultures if i could land a non-teaching job somewhere in europe or japan.  just for a few years though, i'd probably get too homesick.

anyways, i wouldn`t know - i`ve not taught English here.... yet.

Further prooving my point that anyone who goes over to Japan to teach English is a pedophile.

Why not just teach English to immigrants in America?

My wife may be taking a position in Hong Kong in the next year or so, which is extremely exciting. I'd like to try and find a position at an American school, but I'm not counting on it, so I may be an ex-pat house husband for a year or two...

they finished the construction near the dixon landing road exit on 880 about 6 months ago but they still haven't painted in the lines.  For those not in the bay area, it made an extremely busy highway that was 2 lanes now 8 lanes.  WITH NO FUCKING LINES.  If I had to drive on that every day I'd go crazy.

Dude, don't EVER go to China.  For reals.

It's clearly being used as a barrier to keep the japafags out.
