Someone recommend me some PSP games...
« on: June 27, 2007, 12:17:40 PM »
...that are readily available, and not $40. I have GTA:LCS, Syphon Filter, Field Commander and Twisted Metal.

I wanted MMPU, but it's nowhere to be found on store shelves.

I want to get my PSP awn, and I want good suggestions.

Is Crush good, or just GAF-fapworthy?

Most of these games can be had for like $20:

Every Extend Extra
Megaman Powered Up
Gradius Portable
Lumines (TRU in Lake Grove had a shitload of copies of this brand new for $14)
Gurumin (see my thoughts at http://www.evilbore.com/forum/index.php?topic=9961.0)
Wipeout Pure (if you don't mind the load times)

Crush is pretty good, I'm starting to "get it" a little more. Actually its time for lunch break... so I'm off to play :D

What's EEE about?

MMPU is fucking impossible to find in brick and mortar, is it available new online anywhere?

I think I'll spring for Lumines. Any online flash knockoff so I can try it out?  -- Wait, TRU is probably sold out, with that exploit found.

WIPEOUT PURE, good suggestion.

Not into sports games.

Ah, right.

You know, I actually found MMPU at one of the EB's at the Smithhaven mall. It turned up on the computer when I tried to get it in Islandia. I went all the way out there, and they said they couldn't sell it because it had just been traded in, and they have to hold a game for 30 days before reselling it.

What the fuck was that? I wonder if they still have it, it's been at least 2-3 months.

EEE is kinda tricky to describe, it's like a shmup where you blow yourself up and create chains to gain more points. There is a freeware game called "Every Extend" (EEE is based on this but with the trademark Mizuguchi trippy backgrounds and electronic dance music soundtrack) that you might want to play just to see if you like the core concept. I'm a sucker for Miz's abstract games, so I definitely had to get it.

http://www.download.com/3000-2099-10347823.html <-- link to freeware Every Extend

Gunpey is $10 at TRU, was thinking of picking it up but didn't have any money. I've heard mixed things on it, some of the people on these boards (MAF at least) seem to like it.

Fucking hate the EBs at Smithhaven, I always just go to the Funcoland outside of Circuit City right nearby, the Asian dude who manages it is a cool guy. (I live maybe 5 min away from Smithhaven actually, heh) I'll let you know if I see any fresh MMPU's around in my travels, though.
