Company of Heroes (PC)I've only done the tutorials, but my initial gut reaction is HOLY FUCK AWESOME. Besides the mind-blowing visuals, it seems that Relic has finally developed an RTS for the turn-based crowd that actually focuses on squad tactics and terrain strategies rather than IT'S 2:05 ON THE CLOCK AND ZOMG I'M IN UR BASE KILLIN UR DUDES. The graphics are amazing, and the sight of armor rolling toward your entrenched riflemen is truly fearsome. This game is NOT about rock-paper-scissors -- it's about getting your men to cover and making the enemy expose their position. It's about the hard push, not whether you made the correct unit matchup. Yay!
Lego Star Wars 2 (PSP)I wasn't sure what to make of this game at first, since you can't really DIE in it, and some of the puzzles seemed incomprehensible. Then I realized IT'S LEGOS YOU DIPSHIT and I started usin' my Lucasd00ds to build shit and now I'm having a great time. The PSP version is almost identical to the PS2 version, although the stud items are now sprites and enemies explode into less bits. There's a lot of content in this one, and THANK GOD it isn't the shitty-ass prequels. I seen some fegs at GAF recommend the DS abortion; WTF is wrong with those people?
Warship Gunner 2 (PS2)Sea Manky on #ga recommended this one, and since I had money to burn, I picked it up. I'm really not sure what to think. It's ugly as fuck, but some of the customization is neat -- you can apparently kit out your custom battleship with a GIANT DRILL and RAIL GUNS. That said, why doesn't a game about SHOOTING GIANT CANNONS have better explosions and effects? Dur, Koei. We'll see.
Other than that, Disgaea 2 and Dawn of Dreams are what I be playin' the most.
