Since I've been watching stuff on NJPW, I've noticed on these minor shows between the big events there's always two matches at the front with these generic no-names in black trunks. And the matches are always the same. Same structure, same moves. Always a boston crab where the recipient lifts up to break out. They all act the same. It's weird.

Are these training matches or something?

There's also rumors that he's up for selling the WWE now if he can reach a deal like UFC had where he and his family can still run everything, but that seems kind of hard to believe. I can't see Vince ever giving up the WWE like that.

What I would love to see happen is him go focus on this new company and let his kids and HHH run everything. Then maybe WWE can be as good as NXT.

Omega vs. Jericho: Much, much, much better than it had any right to be.
Okada vs. Naito: Excellent match

I stayed up and really enjoyed it. That 4 way really was excellent. That and Goto/Suzuki were my favorite matches. I'm mainly just happy that Goto finally got that solid W when it counted and Suzuki was a badass even with shaving his head.

I was definitely surprised at Jericho/Omega. Didn't expect it to really be watchable but it turned out pretty well. I'm betting Jericho is feeling a lot of that today, though not the table bump. Dude was not wanting to do that shit in the slighest.

Main event was a solid match with a nice, slow start and turned into a real solid match from both dudes. Not surprised at Okada winning but a little bit bummed about it.

I genuinely wasn't sure if they were going to put the title on Naito. Probably because I'm new to NJPW so I didn't know what to expect. It seemed Naito was the perfect underdog so I wasn't sure if they wanted to pull the trigger yet on him, guess they thought not.

Enjoyed the show a bunch and now I'm hooked on the product. I'm surprised Jericho is sticking around, I figured he would be at Royal Rumble at the end of the month... though I guess he technically could make a surprise return for a spot?

-- Following that, The Miz came back out and cut a promo on the Balor Club and D-X, calling himself the only champion in the building and saying the rest of them were all former champs. This prompted Seth Rollins to come out, the two went at it a bit on the mic before Rollins laid him out with the Blackout and everyone started chanting "suck it."

-- Finally, Triple H came out and thanked the fans for 25 years and for coming back to where Raw originated.
