Yeah. I watched it.  It's pretty good stuff if you're trying to get a Narcos-ish fix.

I had reservations about season 3 of I Zombie but it's pretty great so far.

Spoiler-ton

spoiler (click to show/hide)

Finished it up last night not as good as the first and second season but still entertaining.

Liv got blacked  :flabbypd

Liv re-cac'd and pissed off said black-er.  :heh

They threw a lot of shade to Liv about getting a tan and dying her do.  :neogaf

They turned Ravi into a little bitch crying about Peyton, when he was easily the best character in prior seasons.  :ufup :trash

Shit hit the fan zombie Apocalypse is happening.

Trying to watch The Leftovers. The first episode is as boring as fuck. I've heard it said that it doesn't get good until the second season. Do I need to watch the first?

I did see a fraction of a flaccid dick in the first episode. Are there more penises to be had? If so, rate the quality/visibility/chub.
This is how I felt.  I got a few episodes into the first season before I realized I had stopped paying attention and had no idea what was going on.  So I gave up.
similar story here
I've been meaning to tell you something.  My sister in law got a dog recently that's tiny and cute.  She named him Ace.  But for some reason my wife and I started calling him Momo.  We got the rest of my wife's family to start too.  Now he answers when you call him by Momo.  You can sit there and say "Ace.  Come here Ace" and nada.  Say "Momo" and he whips his head around and comes running towards you.  So every time I see your name when you post I hear my sister in law yelling at me "His name isn't Momo!"
This is a great story  :-[ :heart

They fucking wasted Peter Capaldi. They pretty much gave him a script written for Matt Smith.

How is that show's ratings?

edit: I see that ratings are down and they're blaming Capaldi. lul. The problem is that they didn't do anything interesting with the show and its just boring as hell at this point. The companions since Rory/Amy have been awful. They needed to switch approach and a gender swap isn't a real change. If its the same writing and companion quality then its rip.

I liked the first episode well enough. I thought it was a cheap shot to go for promotional artwork that looks like GTA V's "painterly" loading screens. The acting is good, and I am excited about the compromised CIA agent's path.

He won me over forever with Wilfred.

Actually, I hate how much I reference that show considering nobody watched it.

Even one friend who started off watching it at the start never finished the second season because he "couldn't handle the cringe."

So I never suggested the Aussie original or Rake, another amazing Aussie to US transplant that was carried entirely by its lead. (Greg Kinnear in that case.)

I know that places like the AV Club or whatever hate the ending, but I actually love that they played it entirely straight. And they still managed what was ultimately a happy ending for the characters who deserved one.

I don't know why people ever wanted there to be some magical explanation or some garbage like that, GAF thread wanted that too before I bailed out going in there, especially when every season the "twist" was that there really weren't any that season and you had to look at everything in retrospect through that answer and deal with it.

It's weirdly a show I could compare to Mr. Robot* in that the main character doesn't know any more than the viewer does.

*which I sorta thought of just because Amazon notified me earlier season two is now streaming on Prime and it thinks I might like the show...which is the first time Amazon has actually recommended something I do like to me in ages since I've ruined their algorithm on everything else, especially books...though the only things I've watched through Prime are basically just Star Trek remasters and the odd movie here or there

It's because they invested a ton into it and nobody was watching it. It was a really poor pair with Always Sunny/The League to be honest. The last season of Wilfred has some episodes that got like a tenth of a share or worse. :lol

Elijah Wood did the last season for free or something. FX was going to cancel it way earlier on and he gave up like half his salary for another season. Then when they needed to fill space on FXX it got a reprieve for the final season. But they were never going to renew it after that even though Jason Gann kept trying to say it would be, or streaming, or as a movie or something. (Which is funny considering he came to really dislike the U.S. version after doing the first season, especially having to play Wilfred, but Eiljah being so into it re-inspired him or something.)

It takes until episode 6 to start getting any good, which is a lot of time to spend. After that is slowly turns into about the best thing on TV, and Carrie Coon puts in maybe the best tv performance ever that isn't Laura Dern in Enlightened. You get to see Chritopher Ecclestone's dick in the second season as well

Wilfred was a frustrating show. There are absolutely some good bits in it but over the course of it, it left me feeling more annoyed than satisfied.

I recently watched that W/Bob and David netflix reboot of Mr show from a few years ago. I did not like it. The editing and pacing and just general humour of the show left me disappointed. I didn't laugh or smile very much while watching it.

The best episode is the 5th episode which is really just a documentary about the process of creating and writing the show. That was more interesting and entertaining than the actual show itself for me.

honestly, watching the first episode of any show and making a valued judgement is near impossible. every show changes and evolves as it figures out its footing throughout its start.

if the premise or the mystery didn't hook you then don't bother.

I watched the first ep of The Man In The High Castle and thought it really sucked. Really dodgy green screen/CGI, literally every character speaks in clunky exposition. Does it improve at all?

As likely the biggest Dick-head on the forum, I didn't really like what I saw of the first season. The visuals didn't bug me so much as the droll characters and not-so-compelling pace. I think I watched about half of the first season.
