The TV shows you've seen recently thread.
« on: October 05, 2009, 06:51:29 PM »
This is pretty much the same as the movies thread but about tv shows, so don't fucking ignore this thread and keep posting about tv shows on the movies thread :punch

I'm going to use the first post to express my love for Miami Ink, that show is awesome, the custumers always have this sad stories about loss friends/families and life changing events to justify their shitty tattoes.

In the last episode I saw there was this girl who lost her best friend so she decided to get a tattoo of a crying gothic chick right above her ass crack, what better way to remember your friend than with a tattoo that requires two mirrors just so you can see it.

Entourage had a pretty great season finale last night.

I really have a love/hate relationship with the show. I kind of wish it was only about Ari.

Eh, Entourage has really gotten worse as its gone on. At times, its almost unwatchable.

I have not seen last night's Curb episode, because OnDemand didn't update yet.

I'm just glad to have Curb, Dexter, It's Always Sunny in Philly, Fringe and House all on at the same time. If Venture Bros. was back, it'd be perfect.

and iirc, HBO shows from the most recent seasons are watched closely.  Everyone was getting nailed with the Wire, but now you can DL the Wire all you want.

my most recent show-- 3rd season of the Venture Brothers on Blu-ray.  Looked very crisp and nice.  The season itself had some amazing moments.  They really have a pretty fucking awesome set of characters and sub-stories to draw from...they could do a whole season without the actual venture brothers/rusty/brock team and still turn out something amazing.  Not that I would want that.

Now I get to wait two years for the next blu-ray to come out.  I hope they release seasons 1 and 2 on blu-ray in the meantime and uncensored.

Just a shame there's more cock than boobs.  Just the invisible woman and a dr. girlfriend nipple slip.  yes, I was keeping track :lol

Last night's Seth McFarlene animated hour-and-a-half:

Family Guy: Not bad, but nowhere near the level of amazing that was the previous week's Stewie and Brian multiverse-hopping episode.
American Dad: Pretty good episode.  The Roger/Stan-centric episodes are always fun.
The Cleveland Show: Mediocre at best.  Cleveland was not the right character to make a spin-off show about.  Will be surprised if it gets renewed for another season.

Is true blood worth watching?  Amazon has the blu-ray season 1 down to $34 which is hella of a price.

I want to check out Fringe S1 but it's still $50 at Amazon :(

Well it shows you the gender roles and the hypocrisy of the time period from the point of view of professional bullshitters.  I thought it was going to be sort of boring and cheesy but it's actually very good.  You can probably tell if you'll like the show after the first episode.

yeah these are basically scare tactics

i got sent one last month about downloading burn after reading

but i dled that before i got peergaurdian, get peergaurdian

youd be surprised how many companies are trying to find out whos downloading every torrent, every time i download something it blocks at least 50 of them, as well as the private companies who are hired to find this shit out

When I was younger I never really watched X-Files like some people did. Some guys I knew were reeeaaalllllyyy into the X-Files. I'd catch an episode here & there. Well anyways, I just recently started watching season 1, you can really tell the difference in time. But hey, It makes me feel a little nostalgic, it's like it's 1993/94 again. :P

So far, only half way through season 1. It's alright, something to veg to I suppose. From what I've gathered, people say 2-4 are the best seasons.
