I just read a post essentially saying that racists think Chuck Berry was an R&B artist. Now, as a man of impeccable racial politics, I’m perturbed. I might have misinterpreted the post because I’m too mashed to even bother copying the link here.

Honestly smoky, the thought that you might die before getting to watch Cowboy Bebop fills me with deep sadness.
I know when you were young you probably saw some cringey highschool hentai romance bullshit that scarred you psychologically deeply, but they're not all like that. Just because you got hurt once doesn't mean you have to seal yourself shut to new anime experiences.
I don’t know if it’s my age (nearly 40) or location (England) or what, but that shit just totally passed me by. I watched Akira when some ex-missus insisted it was the best thing since the blowjob, and I heard about Initial D through other channels, but that was it. Like Pokemon, it took place somewhere off to the side of my world, virtually invisible to me.
Obviously recent exposure through Vita games and GAF/Reset ain’t give me a great impression, but I appreciate the older stuff looks very different.
