So I already had an 8bitdo wireless SNES pad and a SNES Retro Receiver from buying a SNES Jr. last year, but obviously the SNES Classic uses a different port (the Wii/NES Classic one), so I needed a new NES Classic Retro Receiver (which was recently updated with SNES Classic compatibility.)
I got it two weeks ago, but it was busted. No matter what, the blue light which showed pairing would not come on. And yes, I updated it to the latest firmware (1.07, along with the controller itself to 4.0 for good measure.) So I put in a refund request on Amazon and promptly bought two more.
They arrived today and after the somewhat kludgy process of updating them (again), I've got them both sitting snugly* in my SNES Classic and I'm playing this bitch wirelessly.
The included controllers literally would only go halfway to my couch.
Gonna buy a second wireless SNES pad now. The only, only thing I would change here is to have some combo of buttons invoke "reset" on the SNES Classic (AKA go to the home screen) since getting up to do that is lame. Might not even be possible though? Ah well.
I'm a very happy camper right now regardless.

* The Retro Receivers actually feel really loose in the system, they don't "snap" in and instead kinda hang there. I'm not expecting any earthquakes to jolt them out but wish they were a bit more secured.
