Idk it wasn't as weird as I thought, I guess I was acclimated from the first night though. Certainly didn't feel like WM on any level of course.
I can't wait to get all the details about the making of Boneyard/Funhouse matches because neither seemed to have any Vince input, particularly the Funhouse since I mean....obviously. Interested in who was responsible for what, if Vince really just gave Bray a clean slate to do whatever the fuck he wanted and how he reacted to the THQ era SvR video game storyline, Cena's thoughts, etc. The only details I've seen on either were that the NXT crew did the Boneyard match and Raw/SD crew did the Funhouse...thing.
WhatCulture has a report with even more tidbits about Taker vs. Styles: Filming took place in Florida, but not “anywhere near the Performance Center” in Orlando. WWE contracted an outside production company to build a graveyard set for a promo, but Haitch and Hayes were so impressed by the work they hired them to build out everything we saw during the match. The set took five days to build. It was an eight hour shoot, done from 9 p.m. Eastern on Weds., Mar. 25 until 5 a.m. Eastern on Thurs., Mar. 26. Clean-up after filming took an entire week. The company “deliberately” hired contractors from the Orange County area where the PC is. WhatCulture reports many of the workers believe it’s the only work they may be getting for a while due to the coronavirus outbreak, and it’s “no exaggeration to state that WWE paid their rent for April”. WWE originally want to film Taker driving through an embankment and across an abandoned bridge for his entrance, but had to scrap plans as it was city property and they didn’t have the necessary permits. The extras playing druids (WhatCulture isn’t clear, but it almost sounds like they were the same guys doing set construction) were coached up by AJ, Taker, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows. The wrestlers never got impatient, and took as much time as the extras wanted or needed to do what asked of them (get beat up by the Badass). As a long-time Biker Taker mark, this is my favorite one... all the dialogue was improvised. Which just goes to show you that Mean Mark is one of the all-time great $#!+-talkers.* Undertaker was not supposed to cut his arm when he smashed the hearse window. Even the glass breaking only happened because he wanted to try re-shooting that moment from a different angle. The producers debated editing it out, but ended up running with and liking what it added. Hunter & Hayes found a fake hand prop on the set and wanted to use it, but didn’t have an idea for it. Taker is the one who suggested using it after he buried AJ, as a callback to his Buried Alive match with Mankind at 1996’s In Your House 11.
Former NXT champion Rhea Ripley has gone back to Australia and won't be on NXT TV this week, reports pwinsider.com. Ripley was forced to return to her home country as her work visa recently expired and she needs to go back there to initiate the process to renew it. With travel bans down all over the world and both Australia and the United States requiring visitors/residents to self-quarantine, her return date back to North America is completely up in the air. At least, she will miss this week's TV tapings which are supposed to carry WWE through several episodes of NXT. Given these recent developments, it's fair to wonder whether Ripley dropping the NXT title to Charlotte happened due to her impending absence.

Ripley herself spoke about needing to return to Australia to get her visa renewed while doing ‘Mania press. In those same interviews, though, she said her plans were changed by the coronavirus pandemic.So she’s still in the States but her visa is expired or expiring. Question remain as to when exactly it expires or expired, whether WWE and the authorities have arranged for her to continue working until she can travel, and what the plan is - since there probably wasn’t a “what to do in case of global pandemic” procedure in place until very recently, if at all.

tbf from what i've seen the revival seem to have burned most of their goodwill will alot of online fans, but i don't look into the aew cult so take that with a grain of salt
The Rebirth might be a better name. Be interesting to see what they go with, but I wager that they'll end up better known by the name they pick in AEW than they were as WWE main roster guys.
