Get a ladder, short stuff.
Good Lions win. Started shaky as fuck but a nice rebound into a pretty commanding win. D-line looked a lot better than expected and kept us in the game early, while the offense shat the bed. Stafford was very impressive once he got settled in.That was a decent catch, but did you see my boy georgio split dem uprights like a true italian stud? he was unstoppable, like former neogaf moderator and pedophile amirox's appetite for ripping off neogaf posters and consuming frozen dinners.
We got a baller, fellas

Golladay was tearing it up all through training camp and practice, but I figured he'd come down to earth. Rookie, late round pick, etc. Nah, breh straight up balling today. 2 TDs whew.
Gotta be Goodell.
aia has the most punchable face tbh
First couple of drives and the Pats got a mysterious roughing the passer on a Brady INT and a no call on an obvious PI vs Julio Jones. No point in watching this game, Goodell made the call.:beli
ay PD your Lions looking good tonight:dead
Stafford lit that ass up tonight
Coach Ben McAdoo announced today that Geno Smith will start in place of Eli Manning when the Giants face the Raiders in Oakland on Sunday. Rookie Davis Webb will also play, if not this week, then sometime before the end of the season.
“Geno will start this week,” McAdoo said. “Over the last five games, we will take a look at Geno, and we will also give Davis an opportunity.”
“This is not a statement about anything other than we are 2-9, and we have to do what is best for the organization moving forward, and that means evaluating every position,” general manager Jerry Reese said. “I told Eli this morning that an organization could not ask for any more in a franchise quarterback. He has been that and more. Nobody knows what the future holds, but right now, this is what we think is best for the franchise.”
Kiss the playoffs goodbye. I'll give Jim Caldwell credit: he turned a terrible team into a mediocre team. That's an accomplishment. But this team will not take the step from mediocre to good or great with him as coach. It's time to allow our new GM to hire his own coach.yeah he's getting a ton of flak right now...much of it probably justified
jesus fuck I hope Shazier is ok.
jesus fuck I hope Shazier is ok.
God no updates yet?
Bucs commit 5 turnovers and yet we only won by 3 points. Lions aren't good brehs. Could sneak into the playoffs if everything goes right (specifically if Atlanta and Seattle start losing games) but what's the point. We'd likely play the Rams and get blown out lol.yeahhhh everyone was predicting a blowout for the lions and unfortunately it was way closer than it should've been
You don't think you guys can beat the Ravens or Jags? Ravens for sure. Jags are dangerous as fuck but I just don't believe their offense can outscore a team like the Steelers. Yea the Jags defense will shut down Big Ben/Bell overall but they should at least be able to put up...17 points? Can Blake Bortles put that up on the road against the Steelers? ehhh
:trash
what's going on with the panthers owner, he's being forced to sell the team? :doge
Seahawks game was a dumpster fire. The offense shit itself too many times in the first quarter and the defense is just too broken to do anything.
Derek Carr earns $25 million a year.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQiagk01c7M
There's various vids of him being mic'd up on the final drive, but this vid shows him reading the defense and translating it to his crew.
I think the Jags are going to rough Jimmy up. The Niners O-Line is suspect as hell outside of Kilgore and Staley. They should spend a draft pick on their O-Line, but I really like Fitzpatrick and Bryce Love for the Niners in the draft.

Bortles ran for a longer distance than he passed.I read that Juice wasn't at the game, he has to remain in Nevada due to probation. So he took a pic with some fans at a watch party in Nevada, I guess.
This is really strange since OJ was wearing a Bills uni and he had a car.
The best thing about this is all the Good Place memes. Apparently the actor for Jason went to the game.

I think they should only have qbs with undefeated playoff records in the playoffs from now on.
The Steelers Jags score doesn't even come close to showing how much Pittsburgh got beat. They looked awful.
:lol
They were desperately looking for a reason to not give vikes the TD and win. I think the nfl wanted a brady vs brees superb owl, not gonna happen now!
Stunning. I don't even know what I just saw.
That Saints safety gonna get stomped out in the locker room lmao
Brees was the only one with the hairline to put Brady away.
Now we have to see Thomas Patrick Lucifer Brady Jr. get his sixth ring. The ring which will complete the seal and doom us all.
Your Final Four QBsBrady has the same number of Super Bowl rings as the other three guys on this list have playoff starts, combined.
Bortles
Keenum
Foles
Brady
Todd Haley gone :rejoice

Go Eagles.
America is with you.
Syph needs to post more, I'm tired of everyone here hating the Pats.(https://i.imgur.com/VPIgvhF.gif)
I'm also tired of there being only two active posters with Taylor Switch avatars.
Edit- I accidentally typed "Taylor Switch" there but instead of correcting, I'm keeping it.
What if only the Pats get to win the SB in Trump's America?
Refs gifted Brady a call leading to a touchdown at the end of the 1st half
Can't wait for this #Refgate thing to explode and make me laugh heartily every day until the Super Bowl and Brady's sixth ring.
Is it too early for you losers to start saying "ASTERISK!!!!" again? :lol
the refs didn't win the game for the pats, but they do give them an unfair advantage. jags played soft D all 4th quarter and cost them. maybe part of the reason they softened up was to avoid flags...
Brady was throwing for the flag on a lot of those passes. They were not catchable balls.lol what
It's an advantage the Pats had in the game, though there were multiple reasons for the outcome.
new england refriots
0 penalties on both offense and defense :doge

It's a new day fellas. Lions nab the best coach available and make a well run/historic franchise catch feelings that they lost out.
Apparently Alex Smith's been traded to DC and will sign an extension around $23m/year, with $71m guaranteed over 4 years.
Huh.
Nick Foles is the hero America needs.

Pats (and Brady specifically) lost this more than the Eagles won it.

Also, Collingsworth was trash in this game.
Also, Collingsworth was trash in this game.He was trash and the crowning gem of his awfulness was him defending that low Brady goal line pass until the replay ran.
I'm a Cowboys fan so I'm never going to celebrate an Eagles win, but seeing Eagles fan eat literal shit in celebration does make it almost worth it.

Beli offered him the keys next year if he staysthis is an interesting thought
(https://i.imgur.com/DXPOmEZ.jpg?1)
I did not think Keenum looked good in the playoffs. I am guessing he stays though.
Cousins might get a contract as big or bigger than Jimmy.
Sherman signing with the Niners
Feels all sorts of wrong
wtf I figured he'd be signing for 8 mil tops
To be fair, at least the Browns are showing that they are trying to get better. Getting a bridge QB to give some more time for their rookie to develop is a good move.

Agreed. I kinda feel like they could pass on taking a QB with their first two picks now. Take Barkley first, and then see what happens. If Bradley Chubb falls to 4...you gotta take him right? Myles Garrett and Chubb would be insane together.
I'm not sure I'd want Hue Jackson helping pick my franchise QB. That's not a diss of Jackson, but the reality is that he could get fired before or at the bye week this year. Why risk having your big rookie pick have to learn a new offense in a year.

They have passed on a QB like 15 years in a row. You fucking nuts if you think that is gonna happen again.
Jimmy Graham to the Packers.
Gonna be a rough few years in Seattle. Will be a true test of the fanbase to see who sticks around.
It's looking like the Niners are whiffing on free agent WRs. Not many great wideouts in the draft either. They might just punt that issue away until next year.

::)
Interesting.
Reuben Foster's legal case sounds bad so far.
And Aldon Smith is still a disaster.
I'd bet just about anything that Josh Allen will be a bust.
Lions...eh. I guess the front office (and the entire league) side with you on Landry, Etiolet. I thought his combine numbers were good. Thought we'd draft him for sure. Our new DC coached him last year...just seemed like the obvious pick. Instead we go OL.
Ragnow is considered a top 3-5 OL so I'm not mad about talent. He's versatile and can play guard; lot of Lions writers think he'd probably play guard instead of center here. Either way...the Lions' o-line is now set. On paper, it looks great. We also have depth now. Stafford got sacked what, 45 times last year, in large part because our o-line was depleted by injuries all year. Keep Stafford clean and he'll decimate defenses.
So there's talk about eliminating the kickoffs?
How many more years until the NFL is a glorified flag football league? How can some of you honestly still watch this?
I agree with you but still how much farther are they going to go before the sport isn't even Football anymore? The product on the field is so bad i'm genuinely shocked more people haven't noticed. So there's talk about eliminating the kickoffs?

Kickoffs are mostly dead anyway, wouldn't be that much of a change.
What they should do is let the kicking team line up closer to the receiving team to decrease the speed in which they come down the field and let the kicker kick from like the 25 yard line.
Or, just do a regular punt procedure from the opposite 40 yard line with two receivers at the end of the field.

lol dude it's a pitch and catch game. who the fuck ever watched NFL football for that? And if you wanted a college game why not watch college football?I agree with you but still how much farther are they going to go before the sport isn't even Football anymore? I don't agree with this. We just had one of the most exciting and unpredictable NFL playoffs in recent memory, and offenses are performing like they're college teams. High scoring, competitive games like what we saw in the Super Bowl is what gets people into the game. Good coaching, wild-card playcalls, great performances from the offenses and dynamic gamechanging plays from the defenses, as well as likeable personalities.
The game may not be "gritty" like it once was, but its the flashiest its ever been. I think that's a good, marketable product.
I'm guessing we don't have enough folks for a fantasy league this year? I'll send some PMs and kinda probe around soon. You can send one out to me.
