The worst thing about when Stafford became the highest paid player was the nonstop complaints from local fans arguing he didn't deserve it. This is how the NFL works, especially for QBs: you get paid what the market says you should get paid. Stafford was simply the next in line; iirc Luck signed his deal a year or so before Stafford. Am I a bit surprised that Jimmy G was next? Yea, but I'm even more surprised the Pats traded him for nothing.
I'm very interest in seeing what happens with Foles. The smart thing would be for Philly to keep him until it's clear Wentz is healthy. Hell, sitting Wentz into early/mid October wouldn't be a bad idea. Then start the process of trading Foles for picks. He's gotta be worth a first rounder right.
Also, Keenum. Does he stay or chase the money?
