Pats (and Brady specifically) lost this more than the Eagles won it.

This is always the saltiest narrative after a defeat

amazing game
sucks that the pats defense absolutely shit the bed but it was still an entertaining game to watch
brady GOAT

was watching with eagles fans and even with 10 seconds left and down by 8, everyone held their breath. When Brady broke that tackle it seemed like it was destiny...but alas the hail mary wasn't enough
will be an interesting offseason for both teams

also, QB controversy in philly????? jk lol

Nick Foles is the hero America needs.

 :usacry

People forget that Foles has played at an elite level before... albeit only for basically one season... but still in 2013 he had like a top ten NFL passer rating and broke the TD:int ratio record.

Also, Collingsworth was trash in this game.

Yea, it was so weird. Usually I look forward to him calling a game.

Eagles were gifted a Super Bowl this year. QB gifted to them by the Browns. RB's gifted to them by Miami and NE.

Also, Collingsworth was trash in this game.

He was trash and the crowning gem of his awfulness was him defending that low Brady goal line pass until the replay ran.

"actually Brady put it RIGHT where his receiver needed it!"
*replay shows how inaccurate the pass was*
"....as in he threw it low to avoid a turnover  :doge "

:dead

Great game though. I thought the Eagles would get more pressure on Brady than they did. It took awhile but the hits added up, and by the end Brady was shook. Lots of missed throws last night.

I turned over to NFLN after the game just in time to see Mike Irvin bring on an intoxicated Kevin Hart. They gave Hart a mic and he said fuck almost right away. Hart immediately put down the mic and hopped off the stage.  :lol

i wonder if that guy killed himself this morning.

As for the game it was good for the current standard of play. The NFL is ultimately doomed though, it's just a pitch and catch league. You can see the same style of football watching a flag football game.

Pats (and Brady specifically) lost this more than the Eagles won it.

That's pathetic. The Eagles defense stepped up when needed and sacked Brady's ass and stripped him of the ball. Foles and Ertz stepped up when needed and scored a TD.

Take the loss and move on. Your town isn't starving for championships.

The worst thing about when Stafford became the highest paid player was the nonstop complaints from local fans arguing he didn't deserve it. This is how the NFL works, especially for QBs: you get paid what the market says you should get paid. Stafford was simply the next in line; iirc Luck signed his deal a year or so before Stafford. Am I a bit surprised that Jimmy G was next? Yea, but I'm even more surprised the Pats traded him for nothing.

I'm very interest in seeing what happens with Foles. The smart thing would be for Philly to keep him until it's clear Wentz is healthy. Hell, sitting Wentz into early/mid October wouldn't be a bad idea. Then start the process of trading Foles for picks. He's gotta be worth a first rounder right.

Also, Keenum. Does he stay or chase the money?

I did not think Keenum looked good in the playoffs. I am guessing he stays though.

Cousins might get a contract as big or bigger than Jimmy.

I agree he didn't look good, but teams overpay for QBs pretty consistently. I remember there being rumors that he was heading wherever Pat Shurmer was heading, but now that Shurmer is in NY with Eli+top 5 draft pick (for a QB), that plan is out the window. Still...Arizona needs a QB right. I think Keenum would be a decent pick for a team on the bubble who doesn't want to give Kirk Cousins a boatload of money.

One of my things I do is browse craigslist car ads for odd, bizarre mods and collectible cars. Today I found this rather fanatically painted car.

If you haven't searched craigslist cars for bizzaro mods then you're missing out. Nothing beats a lifted 4wd 86 Corolla with self-made hood-vent.

Anyways, seems like the Seahawks are blowing it up. I am not sure which players on their defense are any good at this point.

RIP Seahawks. 1 ring, should have had another. One of the greatest secondaries of all time that was so good the NFL changed the rules...and it still didn't really destroy them. I just hope they actually protect Russ, breh gets killed out there.

Bennett to Eagles, plus they'll prob get a couple high draft picks for Foles. Yea...Eagles might repeat.

He was headed to Detroit for a meeting if the SanFran meet went bad. I'm glad he never made it here. That deal is ridiculous. Big fan of Sherman but he's 29 coming off a torn ACL....

He only gets the full contract worth if he plays like the 2013 Sherman for the next 2 seasons. The market for a top CB is $14M per so the contract is pretty team friendly if he gets hurt or doesn't do well.

To be fair, at least the Browns are showing that they are trying to get better. Getting a bridge QB to give some more time for their rookie to develop is a good move.

Agreed. I kinda feel like they could pass on taking a QB with their first two picks now. Take Barkley first, and then see what happens. If Bradley Chubb falls to 4...you gotta take him right? Myles Garrett and Chubb would be insane together.

I'm not sure I'd want Hue Jackson helping pick my franchise QB. That's not a diss of Jackson, but the reality is that he could get fired before or at the bye week this year. Why risk having your big rookie pick have to learn a new offense in a year.

:yeshrug what they're gonna do =/= what they should do

They actually got a decent squad, potentially. Yea adding a QB now makes sense...but do you think Darnold is going to be a star? Because I sure as fuck don't. Or Rosen. Especially not Allen (who will be a bust, write it down). Barkley is the best player available at #1, and I'd rather create an elite pass rush at #4 than take a QB.

You can win with Tyrod while developing a QB.
