On the radio they were talking about the Bengals being 2.5 point favorites in this game; how distinguished mentally-challenged/addicted do you have to be to bet on preseason football? :lol

Stephen McGee looked great out there tonight for Dallas. Sure it's just the preseason, but it looks like he might have something good in his future.

Football season is awesome because it's like Thursday night you get an NFL Network game, Friday night you get some college game, then Saturday you get college games all day, Sunday you get NFL games all day, then Monday night you get MNF.

4-0 Niners. :D

Remember the season the Lions went 0-16?  Yeah, they started out 4-0 in the preseason too.

...granted Singletary's craziness is worth at least 7 wins in that division alone, but yeah.

Also, I for one am ready for a bunch of "THAT GUY" and "THIS GUY" on Monday nights with crazy Gruden on MNF again.

plus he's been on good behavior.  The originaly agreement was 4-6 games, starting at 6 and monitoring his progress through the preseason.  Now its 4.  It's exactly what everyone thought it would be.

The Steelers will be 2-2 by the time he gets in.

They're making you work tomorrow, I figured it would be an automatic "sick" day for the entire state. On the radio they said schools were letting out early today, banks were closed, police and firemen were looting in the streets.

Good thing too. From the time you drafted to now they probaby wouldn't have been on the team anyway.  It's like there's 5 different guys coming and going every day.

Shit, I don't think I could name one o-lineman that's starting today.  Unger maybe?  Is he still on the team?  You might as well get the stretcher ready for Hasselbeck.  I'd be surprised if he makes it out of the second quarter alive.

Or he's a super genius.....but probably not.

Actually I don't mind gutting this team.  I'm not interested in keeping Holmgren/Mora/Ruskell overpriced vets so we can limp to 8-8.  Hasselbeck is done in Seattle this year regardless of how well he plays so getting a high pick in next year's draft which will be QB heavy is not such a bad deal.

The massive post training camp roster shuffle is confusing but whatever.  I wasn't expecting too much this year.  That being said, if we only win two games this year I hope to god they're against the 49ers.  That would be too sweet.

Well, I guess the Cowboys were missing Flozell Adams and his penalties so grabbing Barron is the natural result of that.

How anyone seriously thought these idiots were making the Superbowl is beyond me.  Every offseason, it's the same BS hype around the Cowboys.  Every year, they revert to type.  People who buy into it amuse me.

Also, my boy Brady looked pretty good last night, huh?  And stfu Randy.

To be fair, Orakbo is a fucking monster and it isn't the only time it happened in the game. He's just trying to keep his qb from assassination.

The Niners are going to be 0-4. Which means they need to go 7-5 with a distinguished mentally-challenged offense and a defense that is going to be worn out before the halfway point of the season.

Play calling is atrocious. I realize Hill isn't Stafford, but can you at least look down field for christs sake. This team is going to be 0-4 heading into the bye week. We'll beat the Rams only because they suck. Clearly this team isn't what I thought it was. I knew the secondary would suck but I figured the offense could win games. But with Stafford out and the play calling stuck on the "5 yard play" page, fuck it.

The funny thing is that the Lions actually looked somewhat decent in times in all three weeks.

Typically at the beginning of the game, then during garbage time at the end. Frustrating as hell. I'm very excited about the D line, which is playing well; nice mix of young guys (Suh) and vets (Vanden Bosche, Corey Williams, etc). Next year the secondary has to see a similar upgrade, in the draft and hopefully in free agency as well.

assuming there is a "next year" of the NFL :fbm

Well yeah, in theory the Chargers should be nuking us from orbit but the reality is that the Seahawks are dominating this game.  A 10-0 lead at half is unexceptable right now.  If they end up losing this, that Keystone Cops bullshit at the end of the half will be the reason

I snagged Vick in Week 2 because Stafford was injured (and sucks) but I actually ended up dropping Stafford once I heard Vick was the new starter. And considering he's probably the No. 1 Quarterback in Fantasy this week that was probably a good choice.

Oh yeah, still got GB WR Greg Jennings on Monday in what is sure to be an offensive battle between the Packers and the Bears.

well, the team.  rex is fine, I just didn't think that this team was really a superbowl contender (regardless of their fluke playoff run last year)

after the last two games...it's hard not to imagine they go decently far.  sanchez is looking better each week

Unless Greg Jennings catches four touchdown passes, good on you Cajole. You probably lucked into the fantasy lineup of the week (outside of me having Michael Vick, of course)

I hate realizing that my final point total could beat everyone in our league except the person I'm playing this week, and still going 1-2. SO ANNOYING.

Oh well, next week I'm going against Triumph. Fingers crossed that his team sucks it up again so I can hit .500.

Well yeah. It's just amazing that almost my ENTIRE team was fucking insane this week. Sanchez had the same point total as Flacco. I had another 16 point RB on the bench. I had a 26 point WR on the bench. It's crazy. Fantasy football is 5x the crapshoot fantasy baseball is.

I wonder if this Lions game is gonna end up with us down 21+ points going into the late third quarter, and we score some TDs in garbage time to make the loss look respectable. That seems to be the new Lions shitck. Like last year when we'd go into halftime down 21.

Vick is out for the game. Meanwhile, Kyle Orton, my backup, kicked ass today and probably could have secured me the game.

We should have dealt for Marshawn Lynch. The GB front office needs to get the team a running back, stat. Either that, or the offensive coordinator needs to FUCKING CALL RUN a little more often. Seriously, why in the hell hasn't Green Bay run more after Jackson ran for 71 yards?

According to Charley Casserly of CBS, Randy Moss and Tom Brady had to be separated in the locker room recently after getting into a heated argument.

The real impetus for the Patriots' surprising willingness to deal Moss? Brady reportedly told Moss to cut his beard, at which point Moss told Brady to cut his hair because he looks like a girl. If the story is true, it's hard to blame Moss for telling Brady to essentially mind his own business. The Pats had no choice but to side with their franchise QB, though, to keep peace in the locker room.

A post on T.O's Twitter account noted that a fan wearing his jersey at the Bengals' game against Tampa Bay on Sunday would get a football signed by him and Chad Ochocinco. The message was posted an hour before kickoff, violating the NFL's social media policy that prohibits posts 90 minutes before a game. Owens was on the field shortly after the message was posted. Even if someone posted it on his behalf, it would violate the league's rules.

Huh.

That's a pretty stupid rule. He didn't do anything bad.

The reason it was put in was because, pretty much, of Chad Ochocinco texting during games last year. I'm sure someone on the opposing sideline was enjoying hearing about the Bengals' gameplan through Twitter the whole game.

Hill has been handcuffed a bit by bad playcalling and ball drops here. There's no way the 49ers would be 0-5 with him. Crabtree and Davis would be exploding every game for big yardage.

I have both Tom Brady and Brett Favre on my FF team. Which should I start this week?

Favre threw for 27 points last week, against the NYJ defense in their house and in the rain, with very little practice time with Moss. It seems he has all the weapons in the place now, and he's starting this week. My only concern is that the Cowboys might knock him out of the game in the first quarter.

Brady is always a safe bet, but I'm concerned about the Patriots new "horizontal attack" offense. I'm worried that Brady might relapse to his pre-2007 performance without Randy and his numbers might drop.

Advice?

NB, Favre has tendinitis in his throwing elbow and could come out after any throw. It's too risky when you have Brady as the other option. I wouldn't worry about Moss not being there. He wasn't even Brady's favorite target.

Lions have to be the stupidest fucking team in the modern history of sports. The Giants look horrible, this is a game that could have been won without fucking penalties

Looks like I'm losing this week.

I had Favre (yeah, I benched Brady), Gore, LT2, and Edwards all set to cover my 30 pt. deficit and my opponent only had Moss. I figured I'd come back, but it doesn't look like I will.

This sucks.

The Jets need to tie this game and get Orton on the field, making him pass down the field for like 70 yards and a TD.

SF is winning so Gore needs to rush for like a TD during time management.

Then I MIGHT win this week.

Wade is probably gone next season but I'm sure his replacement will be garbage ass garbage. Jon Gruden's name seems to get thrown around but I don't see it happening.

Wade always makes the one good year seem like a complete fluke the next year. But at this point a sock puppet would probably be a better head coach.

Pick up Blair White if he's still available.

Joseph Addai and the running game is out; Dallas Clark is done for the year; Collie is gone for 4-6 weeks; and Gonzo re-injured himself. That leaves Wayne (double teamed), Garcon, and White (who the coaches are impressed with).

The rested and well-prepared Colts play the Texans, with their shitty secondary, next Monday Night in what is sure to be a shoot-out. Pick up Blair White and start him as your WR3, because he's going to be the next waiver wire gem to explode.

EDIT: I just grabbed Fitzpatrick, too. Any QB who can air it out against the Jets and Ravens is worth a pick-up in my book. The Bills have no running game and they're always playing from behind, so they're a pass-first team by default, plus their stud receivers are finally coming along.

Grab A-Gonz while you're at it, and ditch one of them at the end of the week. It seems A-Gonz is making a serious effort to start as the #3 WR this week, and recent news of his re-aggravated injury were false. He just might start in place of White on Monday.

Pick up Jacob Tamme. He's Dallas Clark's replacement in Indy for the rest of the season, and, from all reports, is a Clark clone in all respects. He'll be playing this Monday.

I started the season 0-2, before going 5-1. Right now sitting at 5-3 and am currently the league's highest scorer.

My team has no real weakness outside of QB. I didn't draft Tom Brady to be a "serviceable" quarterback and had I known the Patriots would revert to their pre-2007 dink-and-dunk offense, I would have never drafted him so high.

As it stands now, I'm going to see if I can grab Stafford and see how he develops.

Vikings.  ::)

I think somebody should break off Brad Childress. Dude is too thin-skinned, I believe. A blog on ESPN.com laid out the fact that this isn't the first time they've run someone out of town for being critical, and it also laid out the fact that Randy Moss being Randy Moss isn't exactly a shocking event. This is stuff they should have considered ahead of time. Add to that fact that him and Favre have apparently clashed numerous times, even during last season when Favre was something like 33 TDs and only 7 picks, and you've got a short-sighted coach with a short fuse.

Number 4 is number 4. Number 84 is number 84. If you can't deal with that, don't pick them up in the first place. I guess when they finish this year 5-11 or 6-10 or whatever they "rally" to, Favre will finally retire and Brad Childress might be vacationing in or around Hattiesburg as well.

Favre is a diva, Moss is a diva. It's not like Childress had complete control over Moss' fate after that press conference.

Favre should be benched. It's looking as if he's running things or something.

In unrelated news, Peyton Manning could probably drive down the field and score touchdowns with those high schoolers that Favre spends training camp with.

Okay, I want to address one more thing in this thread. The Broncos are thinking about doing something MASSIVELY FUCKING STUPID.

I am a Kyle Orton fantasy owner. I actually drafted him. He has become one of the top ten QBs in the NFL this year. The Broncos are 2-6. This year, Orton is putting up better numbers than fucking Elway. It's not his fault.

However, there's some really, really disturbing talk in which they might bench Orton and put in Tim Tebow. While Tebow isn't as obnoxious as Brett Favre, I still don't like him. For one, everyone has decided to smoke some REALLY good shit because Tebow is not going to produce NEARLY the numbers that Orton does. Tebow isn't going to light it up like Vick either because he can't throw the ball like Vick does. He's just going to suck, and 2-6 is going to turn into 2-14.

Now, call me crazy, but if my team got annihilated by 56 points on a day where the QB still had positive production, I would be looking to make changes on DEFENSE. Instead, the Broncos are rumored to make a Mike Shanahan benching McNabb epic level of dumbassery decision.

Evidently there's a shitload of people in the NFL buying some pretty good drugs in the year before the lockout. People are fucking stupid this year.

Moss with Titans, to replace Kenny Britt more than likely.

Hmm, with Britt out, and knowing that Britt scored 44 points in our league with Kerry Collins as the QB, and knowing it's RANDY MOSS, not a bad idea at all.

Also, Chris Johnson's fantasy value just skyrocketed to another galaxy.

Another devastating loss, another devastating injury. And another week of fools calling into sports radio talking about how we could have won the game. In short, another week of Detroit Lions football.

I knew the game was lost when we were up 10 and couldn't get a single first down. The run game was horrible again, and we couldn't even convert easy yardage when it mattered most. Then that horrible penalty against Peterman which stopped the clock for the Jets, and set up their FG.

I think Stafford is a good QB, but I'm thisclose to giving up on him. He can't stay healthy. If there's a lockout next season, he'll be behind more than just about any other franchise qb in the history of the NFL.

Then, NOBODY IN THE LEAGUE picked up Jacob Tamme and he fucking had an Antonio Gates sized day. Also, Vick returned and he decided to light the fucking world up yet again.

It's mind-boggling just how truly, truly AWFUL the Cowboys have become this season. You'd think that Jerry Jones auctioned off the whole team after last season and now they're just running out third-string guys that have never played in a game before. It's absolutely disgusting.
Title: Re: ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL
Post by: Great Rumbler on November 08, 2010, 10:02:41 AM
Jerry Jones has a lot of money tied up in Wade, if he fires him that money is just gone. AND he'd have to pay a bunch of money to whoever else comes in. Unfortunately, that seems to be the biggest concern in Jerry's mind this season.

People are calling in saying the Jets game was a turning-the-corner game for the Lions, despite the utter collapse in the last 5 minutes. I'm going to break something.

If this was a win SURE it would be a turning-the-corner game. But to be perfectly honest, the Jets are good but their offense is trash outside of their running game. We have one of the best defensive lines in the NFL, it's not surprising we stopped their run game to me. The fact that we couldn't stop the pass game when needed shows me this team still hasn't turned the corner completely. We should be talking about the Lions possibly going on a three game win streak right now, with the Bills and Cowboys coming up. Instead we're back to the first step (Chicago game) AGAIN. Stafford hurt, season feeling hopeless.

Instead of possibly looking at 4-5 more wins this season, maybe coming in SECOND in the division, this season is probably over now with Stafford and Hill injured. Cut that fucking MSU pos Drew Stanton from the team right now. Even I'd know not to throw an incomplete pass at that point of the game.

Jason Garrett is the interim  head coach. Well, the team is still royally fucked.

This year is over and done with anyway, at least Jerry Jones has shown that he's willing to clean house mid-season. Hopefully he's also willing to give up some of his control over the team and let a real coach turn the 2011 season into something respectable.

You know he wont tho. Philips should have been gone last season and I fully expect Jones to keep Garrett for a few years.

Probably. Jones just wants a yes man to do what he wants. He's not going to bring a good coach in like Bill Cowher who will want to control.

Jerry Jones is the P Diddy of the NFL

Lions' offensive coordinator needs to be fired. I'm so fucking tired of this conservative bullshit. 3rd and 10? Throw a short slant pass to your RB, at the line of scrimmage. I realize Hill was injured but this was ANOTHER case of us being down late, and the coordinator deciding it's time to look downfield. Why the fuck don't we do that ALL GAME instead of just the last 6 minutes.

So much for second place in the EB fantasy league and a bye during the playoffs :(

Oh well, this is the last week for byes I think, hopefully my players will come back strong next week.

Why did Kenny Britt have to get injured? Everyone has all the good WRs now. Michael Vick could have a 40 point game and I'd still lose. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Oh yeah, and my bench QB scored more points than any QB in the league during any game this year. Still would lose.

Football Jesus is about to take another victim.  I entered tonight up over 60 pts.  Thank goodness for Laron Landry's 4 pts, I'm clinging to a 6 pt lead.  Looks like I might escape.

I had London Fletcher going tonight too but cut him to pick up Tyler Thigpen (our league is very QB dependent so every one who starts is taken, plus I had Henne and Pennington, thank goodness I didn't count on Pennington to finish the year just yet, didn't expect to lose them both though!)

That would have sucked if picking up Tyler Thigpen with a 63 pt lead cost me the matchup, I didn't have anyone else to cut (other than Henne who wasn't out for the season at that point.)

edit:  and fucking LOL @ deadskin fans  they weren't actually excited for giving McRibb the 'Delhomme' contract were they?  What a farce, figured they get curbstomped tonight.

Starting the season with an auto-draft (except for me picking up Kyle Orton and several other players I've dropped by now), I now have:

3 top ten QBs (Freeman should be up there after this week)
2 top ten WRs (should have 3 in a few weeks depending if people continue to let me pick up stuff on waivers when I'm 11 of 12 on the line)
2 top ten RBs
2 top ten TEs

That's interesting. The Pats beat down the Steelers yet Big Ben had a very good passing game. St Louis' pass defense is ranked better than New England's, and they'll be playing against Ryan at home. Damn that's tough.

sounds like the type of choice that'll go down to the last minute on sunday lol

I sat Antonio Gates because he was questionable going into today, and his injury usually takes 2-4 weeks to heal. Hopefully he doesn't play, because if he does, he will probably score 30 points as usual.

Well, no God mode, but already almost ten points and a rushing TD.

It's more likely that Vick will blow up than Nicks so we will see. Worst case scenario is that neither do. But at this point unless Vick gets injured he's a proven unstoppable force.

I've been watching the Rams recently [since the Cowboys are going nowhere and I've liked Sam Bradford since his OU days] and they are a very frustrating team. They'll get out to an early lead thanks to Bradford, then they'll go completely over to prevent defense/time-waste offense where they just keep running the ball and running the ball and getting nothing out of it. All the while, the other team gets back into the game and either wins or makes it really, really close when it shouldn't be. Okay, I'm not a football expert here but MAYBE let Bradford throw a some passes in the last quarter of the game, guys?

Is Peyton Manning the most overrated athlete of all time?  He's consistently been an average to horrible performer under stressful conditions yet almost everyone in the media makes excuses for him.  It's a joke how they preemptively defend against people who will unfairly label Manning a choker when the exact opposite happens.  Manning is consistently placed ahead of Brady, Brees, Rivers, etc, regardless of how well they perform personally or how much they win.  Sort of winning 3 championships in a row and getting another 5,000 yds/48 TD season, even Brady probably has no chance of surpassing Manning in all-time rankings.

Ok duders... I need your help in the playoffs...

My running backs are the following:

Ronnie Brown -- going against Buffalo this week... very tempting.
Adrian Peterson -- Monday night against Chicago... doesn't feel like a good idea.
Rashard Mendenhall -- Going against the Jets.

Which two should I go with?

Also, same question for my receivers:

Greg Jennings -- Rogers is out, not sure how the new QB is gonna do.
Larry Fitzgerald -- Playing the godawful Panthers, but Arizona doesn't have a QB.
T.O. -- He's turning into a drama queen again, but he did well against CLE earlier in the year.
Anquan Boldin -- Up against New Orleans, seems like a dumb move.
Hines Ward -- Meh.

Pick three!

Pick three!

Peterson and Mendenhall imo; Brown has has more fumbles than TDs in his last few games. Jets/Steelers will be a defense slog, but it's not outrageous to think Mendenhall can get a goal line TD in the game. Peterson...eh, always gotta start him imo.

WRs...T.O. and...dunno, maybe Boldin or Jennings? Jennings almost had a TD against the Lions last week, and generally makes good plays. Their QB sucks but not more than whoever starts for Arizona.

I'm starting T.O. as well, mainly out of desperation. He had a huge game against Cle last time.

I just watched that last touchdown.  Jackson acted like an ass by taking his sweet time crossing the line but it was hilarious.  It's always entertaining to see NY teams choke and make their fans act like it's the end of the world.

Btw, Tim Tebow finally started at QB and is doing surprisingly decent.   :o

I thought so too at first, but think he was making sure he ran out the clock but didn't put himself in a position to risk the TD.

Though I do HATE pre-TD celebrations - cross the line, then do your dance.

Some fans are bitching over the win streak and what it does to our draft position. I think there's a good chance we beat Minny next week, bringing us to 6 wins - which puts somewhere between the 7th and 10th pick I guess.

I'm fine with that. Sure I want Patrick Peterson or Prince Amukamara to upgrade the secondary, but I also want to see the team win competitive games, which is what we've finally started doing; I'm glad we're finally seeing some shit go our way. We'll be in a position to take the best available player, I'm fine with that. And someone everyone assumes to be a top 5 pick always falls. Maybe we get Peterson or Amukamara anyway. Hell maybe we get a good LB, or another solid defensive lineman.

Good?  Curry?  Hell no.  The guy is a complete bonehead. If it weren't for those ridiculous white knee high socks he sometimes wears, you wouldn't even know he was on the field. Looking back at that draft, it's kind of funny how everyone was saying Curry was the best player on the board but he sure as hell hasn't shown anything other than a bunch of missed tackles and personal fouls.  Maybe he'll come around next year but so far I'm completely unimpressed with the guy.  Detroit made the right pick with Stafford, even with his injuries.

And fuck Bradford and the Rams for laying an egg tonight. I want that 8th pick damnit!

What's with the Saints hate?  Them winning the championship was one of the legit feel-good stories of last year.   The fawning over Manning's greatness is sick enough as it is.  Imagine if he had won a 2nd Superbowl.

I don't know about hating the Saints, but everyone was bashing the Seahawks and even questioning whether or not the playoffs needed to be adjusted so this wouldn't happen again.  The Seahawks winning was a gigantic "fuck you" to the media and the entire country.  IT WAS GLORIOUS.

Lynch. Beast Mode......awesome.

This win is going to make going out tonight much more enjoyable.

I don't hate the Saints, I just hate manufactured sports stories (last year was an actual feel-good story, but the media made it seem like Katrina happened so the Saints could win the superbowl and heal the nation and erase racism forever) and more importantly I hate sports columnist who endlessly spin this shit, so anytime they have to come up with weird justifications for their stories going to shit, I laugh.

Near the end of the Hawks-Saints game today, the NBC announcers started rattling on endlessly about Katrina as a way to minimize Seattle's victory or something, it was really odd.

Iggles > Fudgepackers

Eagles are like my surrogate team now, okay? Figured I should hurry and name a backup after thinking about how the Raiders will likely be returning to 4-12 status next year

I missed most of the Saints' failure yesterday, but I at least got to see the Colts and Jets game that led up to some of the best Manning face I've seen all year

Nnamdi Asomugha contract voided
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=6004943

holy shit

If I was the Lions I'd offer everything and the kitchen sink for him. Our defensive line provides enough pressure to make a decent secondary look good; the problem is we have a shitty secondary outside of Delmas. Asomugha+healthy Stafford=playoffs, no fucking doubt in my mind.

With him we could take the best player in the draft, regardless of position. I doubt he'd come here, but I'd throw bags of money at him.

If I had money, I would be there watching in person, freezing my balls off. I live two hours away from Chicago now.

But yeah, our quarterback is Aaron Rodgers. The last time they played, the Packers won. When the Bears won earlier, the Packers beat themselves with penalties. That isn't going to happen this time.

I'm ready to buy NFC championship t-shirts and be extremely obnoxious to all of my Bears coworkers.

There's so much talk about whether Brady or Manning might end up as the greatest QB ever but I think Rodgers could become better than both of them.

What is it with their infatuation with crappy QBs? First Grossman, now Cutler. They should go after Jamarcus Russel next.

Dunno, Brady is pretty untouchable right now. Well, he's untouchable when he's untouchable loll; seems to fall to pieces after he gets hit hard.

Rogers is struggling now, after a great start to the game, but I think overall he could be very very good. Dunno about Brady/Manning status. He definitely isn't afraid of getting popped, unlike those dudes

I didn't see Cutler go down. Was it a bad injury or something a ballsier QB could have played through?

Oh well, go Packers in the Super Bowl, I guess.

Which outcome will prevent Rapistberger from striking again? Will losing send him into a rage? Or will winning reinforce his feeling of invincibility?

Schottenheimer is such a fucking shithead

Whatever, can't be expected to come back from 24-0 after your defense lets the other team run all the fuck over you

And that was an incomplete pass goddamn it not a fumble arghhhh

and if the defense was actually able to get a stop at the end of the fucking game i think Sanchez would have driven down the field FUCK

Ben Roethlisberger = 10/19 passing, 133 yards, 0 touchdowns, 2 interceptions

We should go after Kolb during the off season, I'm not convinced Stafford will be healthy to play any meaningful time in the NFL.

Quote
This is one of the most confusing diatribes I have ever come across.   Lions LB Zack Follett gave an interview on Tuesday in which he received some harsh criticism for what he had to say about QB Matthew Stafford.  According to Zack his comments were taken out of context.

In Zack’s interview with ESPN in Fresno earlier in the day, he was quoted as saying;

“Stafford, good guy,” Follett said, per the Detroit Free Press. “He’s a china doll right now. Anytime he gets hit, he goes down. But the kid is — hopefully, it’s just patiently waiting for him, because the kid is an awesome talent. He has a tremendous arm. The throws that he makes during practice when no one can touch him, he looks like an All-American quarterback, but put him in a game, and you hit his shoulder. So hopefully, say a couple prayers, keep him healthy next year, and the Lions can do some damage in the NFC.”

After receiving numerous complaints he decided (foolishly) to clear the air via video.  It is too hard to describe the actual video and what happens.  Please enjoy

Meanwhile, Dan Snyder is suing DC's awesome free weekly, the Washington City Paper, for a hit piece they ran on him, claiming that this illustration:

is anti-semitic.

Thus you have the billionaire owner of the Washington fucking Redskins sue someone over allegations of racism.

Aguilera was really bad, but that BEP thing was truly one of the most god awful things I have ever seen on television.  I expected to wake up this morning to headlines of "Will.i.am found dead after disastrous Super Bowl performance... to no one's tears", and instead see mixed impressions.  Was there a channel running that performance where the sound wasn't fucked or are some people really just THAT hopelessly tasteless?
