Fuck off, figgurt.
People are too positive on the internet? LOL
The internet is mostly a black hole of negativity. It's shit that people would never get away with saying to anyone in public. That's why they say it: to project their failures and shortcomings as people to those who can't or won't retaliate. Most internet haters are people who had high hopes for themselves and are finding out that it ain't gonna happen for them; at best, they can be a cog in a giant corporate machine and at worst, they can't find gainful employment so they have to rely on the "gig economy". I'm sorry that life hasn't turned out the way some people wanted it to be but that doesn't mean that I need to pay attention to people bitching about what some asshole I don't care about said on Twitter.

I find Twitter pretty realistic. Then again, I hitch my horse directly to things that affect me, and that's mostly in relation to race. Nothing you said corresponds to my reality of the Internet. It actually reinforces it: people who are in a good place and therefore deem all people who they see as "negative" as losers who obviously (even when this isn't the case) that they are failures and thus have a reason to bitch. A narrative of clandestine snootiness that doesn't find people's personal struggles as valuable.
The idea that the internet in its current incarnation is inherently negative makes no sense in light of the popularity of sites like Upworthy or whatever doesn't...make sense.

I hope you're not conflating the struggles I'm referring to here with those impacting millions of lives, such as issues of race, discrimination, politics, and any other relevant current events. Those have always, and will always, have a right to exist.
Even the GAF threads are less pathetic.
vularai makes it funny because he uses the history and struggles of the communist state as his preferred metaphor. we can ALL get behind the central planning and distribution of misery. :rash
I personally don't read the struggle thread. It's mostly a circle jerk of "tied my shoes wrong this morning :fbm" or "have to work late today :fbm" or something.
Jesus christ, team overshare is trying to police what people share?
Wrath, Shaka, I'm calling you out as people I most s'd my h to in the past.
Sorry we all don't just come here to talk about GAF, and have real lives

My skin is still broken out from showing fat #solidarity with you. As far as I'm concerned you're the second coming of Gorbachev.

Wouldn't it be amazing if drag race had a season dedicated to cats in drag? I don't think the internet would handle it
