Sony, though it was really more of a moral victory than anything else, it certainly has to feel good if you are them to actually be winning anything at the moment.

They'll still get absolutely creamed in sales this year. If they keep up this kind of work they will make a tidy profit on the machine if their ten year product cycle thing is really a honest remark.

MS deserves to get its ass kicked. Their recent arrogant decisions have been leading them down the path that make Sony so hated. Nintendo deserves a good beating too. But it won't matter to the big N since they don't give a crap about E3 and they're still going to make more money than everyone.

Sony in terms of what they brought, but none of those games -- excepting MGS4 -- are gonna dent MS in the hardcore market. Microsoft did a mediocre sales job, but Halo 3 + GTA4 + Madden 2008 + COD4 (with assists from Bioshock and Mass Effect) are gonna steamroll.

Nintendo shouldn't have even bothered. It's clear they aren't a videogaming company any more, but are back to their original novelty-shit-for-old-people business.

I'm not looking at art direction and scripting; i'm looking at technical ability. CoD4 has insane geometry and the most advanced lighting model, and it's running at a stable 60 fucking FPS. Of all the games shown, it is probably the most demanding of the hardware.

I definitely agree, outside of Crysis, which as always looks OMG TEXTURE ASSPLOSION based off the screens released today. That's a PC game anyway, a platform which is the total E3 sideshow (amazing how things have changed since the the ill-fated Atlanta E3s so long ago).

If you take away the PSP, then how did Sony fare against MS? Corny does have a point. Sony's games are pretty much the same games that they've always been making, just like Nintendo. I don't even see how Infamous was so surprising. Sony always has tons of 3rd-person action titles.

Point is, who wins E3 really doesn't matter for anything. It's just a showcasing of games for fanboy service. If Nintendo didn't unveil Mario Galaxy last year and waited to this to unveil it and announce a release date in a couple months out of nowhere, everyone would have went "OMG BEST E3 ever". Then throw in some SSB clips and unveiling Sonic as a character, give Wii Fit maybe 5, 6 minutes in the middle instead of the finale, and demo Mario Kart with 12 racers online or whatever there will be, and there's more "win". They definitely could have catered the presentations more to get approval of the hardcore if they wanted, but they didn't.

I don't get people saying because they showcase some Wii Fit game, instead of Mario Kart or SSB or whatever that they don't make "real" games anymore. They make as many as they ever have - on their typical pace of one console release per month with 2 per fall months. Nothing there has changed. This is no different than people bitching that Nintendo lost last year's E3 because they didn't unveil Mario Galaxy in a proper manner - obviously it didn't affect them a bit.

There is no way Sony made ME as an early adopter happy. Their E3 crap didnt change the fact that I spent 800 dollars in all to wait this long for any glimmer of HOPE.

Microsoft has been a solid performer aside from the hardware issues, which they HAVE addressed with warantee extensions as well as a planned retrofit of the 360 design. Asking for more is foolish and born from a desire to troll.

Also, Killzone 2 will probably suck like the original did, but it will be PRETTY so I spose that counts rite? lol

No I just enjoy my 360 a lot, what Drinky and TVC like is of no consequence. I own like 15 360 games and 20 xbla games, use it to stream media from my media center pc, watch movies from time to time, download a few national geographic shows. PS3 has literally done nothing except let me play an inferior version of VF5, play MLB 07 The Show and Stardust HD. I just dont see how Sony can "win" in my eyes until I have something tangible in my hands.
