pacman was used for another game's AI. I think motorstorm.
The problem with the last SC (never played 2) was that there weren't many ways to beat the missions and that you had to choose a side.
Here's some problems with what was shown in the trailer, which supposedly has much worse AI than what I should play with but was still the only gameplay demo shown:
1. Dry humps the ground to avoid being spotted in life-and-death situations when he TURNED ON FLOOR CAMO.
2. Gets into rusty barrels with bullet holes to hide in something bullet proof.
3. Puke because of getting in said barrel.
4. Pose as a 21st century commando next to a greek statue to hide.
5. Does
this and
]this.
6. Who the hell thought it would make sense to have a robot that you use for recon? The only thing like that is in ghost recon and that can be shot down easily. I realize it gives you a huge advantage in terms of gameplay but I really couldn't give a fuck how cinematic a game is when the gameplay is about screwing around for the hell of it.
oh bubububu
The AI is still plenty good. As was noted earlier, the AI is designed to allow the player a wide variety of options without extreme punishment. Ultra sensitive AI results in frustration.
If for whatever fucking reason the game's creator did not feel like playing on a reasonable difficulty level in a fucking demo, then maybe you have an argument. If I had a PS3, this still wouldn't be on my radar. Assassin's Creed takes the same concepts of tricking groups of people you're right next to and takes a big hairy shit all over MGS.
Maybe there's a big twist, not necessarily even a big one, in the story and this time you're playing as a dirty old cigarillo. It doesn't even do that well.

If I see this in a game I just stop playing. Obviously we have different tastes.
