not a huge fan of the series, but this game looks very nice

I've never played WA2, that's the one that most people seem to hate. I admit that the story isn't that good in WA4, but its fun to play because of the platforming and the hex battle system.

I'll probably get Persona 3 when it comes out just to have it. All the other SMT games for PS2 are impossible to find new and fucking Gamestop is trying to sell Nocturne and DDS2 for $45 used. Same with Zone of the Enders: 2nd Runner which I finally found, but they're all in horrible condition.

Well, one reason they ship such small shipments (I think) is because gamestop/eb only orders small shipments to begin with, so they don't have much room to grow.

I loved WA1 but its pretty much my Final Fantasy 7. But, the difference being, I can actually revisit WA1 and enjoy it. Not so much with FFVII

FF7 aged like rotten cheese. i tried to replay it on the PSP, could barely get past the first disc.

I liked WA2 better than 1, honestly. 1 had some interesting puzzles in the dungeons and whatnot, and had a pretty original setting, but other than that, it was nothing special. Especially compared to the 16-bit stuff that was still coming out at that point (Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals, for example).

I'm looking forward to Growlanser 5 as well, though it's a shame they skipped Grow IV and its various spin-offs. The fact that we're getting it is better than nothing, I suppose!

WA1 is, like, soulless...maybe it was the translation, maybe it was the almost complete lack of character interaction...but coming after Beyond The Beyond and before FF7 it was definitely playable. It was the first game I played through from start to finish on my PSX.

It's quality. I was looking for something maybe a little more "serious" (I dunno, feels a little cutesy to me), but it's pretty hot.

the aesthetics are like an amped up radiata stories. it's a traditional story-driven rpg, not a dungeon crawler.

good; ricciardi's 8-4 translated it, so it reads pretty well if a little hackneyed when it comes to western idiom abuse.
