Where's the best place to live in the states? Somewhere with a good mix of greenery and urban convenience.

What kind of dowry do you come with Whiteman?

Can a citizen of a fellow commonwealth nation attend these meetings?

Yes but the Commonwealth outsider secret meetings usally overlaps the Canadian citizen secret meetings, so you'll have to miss the last half hour.

I want to be able to take as many young female lovers as I desire, we won't have sex, and only see eachother on occasions when out social outings overlap. It will be like a marriage right out of Doren Grey only modern.  We'll wear top hats and be all witty and gay.

No deal.  I will never know proper grammar or spelling!  Besides my family already thinks I'm gay and I think marring a man would only add to that misconception.

Oh Arvie, I am a more powerful ally than your parents could ever dream of being.  I am too much of a meek man, but with my gifts of planning and understanding the nature of power, I can concoct a machiavellian scheme to make you the most powerful man in all of the western world.  I can, literally, give you anything worldly you desire.  Be my mouthpiece.

I don't want my greatness to come from power.  Besides I'd be much more of a shadow man anyways.  If I were your puppet, I'd need my own puppet to dangle to the crowd; I'm afraid our stings would get tangled.

You may get the top, Arvie, but don't forget from where the power flows in this relationship; who pees the white pee.  From the phallus I possess shall flow all the remainder of history that shall be recorded, and I am offering you the opportunity to be the parrot perched on said Unit of Power.  Take it, Arvie, in your hand.

Tooting my own state's horn here, but lots of places in PA are really great. :)

We have tons of green. You wouldn't think of it, but I've read that PA has the largest rural population of any state in the US, because central PA is farm country. Pretty much the whole eastern part of the state has you within 3 hours of NYC, Philly, and Atlantic City, NJ. The western part gives you Pittsburgh, Erie, and the metro areas in Ohio.

Lots of people have been retiring to the Poconos lately--I think it's second only to some part of Florida or something like that. The Poconos are beautiful as fuck, and you can take a train from there right into NYC in like less than an hour I think. Very cool. :)

Are you talking best as in price or beauty?

For price, the rural South can't be beat.  Houston has an incredible housing market for such a huge city.  There's just so much land.

San Francisco is by far the most beautiful city I've seen in America.  It's really an awesome area.  This is my number one choice if price wasn't an issue.

However, if you're looking for countryside scenery, then you can pretty much pick any state in the US.  The US does have some beautiful land in almost every state.  Just depends on what kind of weather / land you're looking for.  We've got it all!

I ran over to help in both instances, while my wife was calling the police, actually.

One of the women was on the phone with her mom when these guys jumped out of the bushes and started kicking her in the head.  :-\

In both instances, by the time I got to the person, the attackers drove off. What would happen is that we'd be inside watching TV and heard someone outside screaming, and then we'd go check it out. We live near I-5, and there are some dark spots were people hide underneath.

And that's in the most generic suburban hell of the entire area (Cary, NC).

Chapel Hill, NC is where it is at. Great education/schools, entertainment (nightlife, music, sports), cuisine (best in the Southeast US-yeah not saying much but it and next door Durham is the culinary cradle of the region) all integrated into a green, well-planned community.

It's hip, trendy, but not a large place (good because I hate people). Suits me fine until I can move out west.

I live on the edge of a very nice neighborhood, I just also happen to live near an I-5 overpass where homeless people live in their cars. These are pretty isolated events, they don't happen often at all. No home break-ins, no car break-ins, just some punk douchelums who thought it would be funny to terrorize some girls walking home from work.

I know how you feel.  I live in the "safest" neighbourhood in Houston, but it's on the edge of one of the "worst" neighbourhoods in Houston.  However, instead of the shitty neighbourhood getting better, the good neighbourhood is just getting worse.

Austin is the best place to live.

- lots of outdoorsy stuff to do (very friendly to bicycles)
- large university means lots of smart, liberal people
- urban environment with nightlife if you want that
- great weather year round (except maybe too humid in the summer)
- affordable living
