A few weeks ago, when I was picking up my Ace Combat 6 flightstick bundle preorder, I got into a minor fenderbender. How minor? I didn't notice any damage on the "victim" car. Nothing. Yet, there was a whole deal about it, there was a witness and everything, and I got written up for reckless driving. Now, I felt that the police officers and the witness were rude to me beyond belief, but that's not what I want to talk about. It's semantics.
You see, I'm about to plead not guilty on this ticket and go to court over it. The thing is, what they wrote me up on was just rolling up to take my turn getting out onto an intersection, the traffic was clear, I turn my head right... then bam! The car ahead of me didn't go, and I get blamed for it. I was rolling up. No speed whatsoever! That's not reckless driving to me.
This is reckless driving. Would the judge buy that argument, or am I just dumb? This is such a colossal waste of time. I still can't believe it happened.
