The SR-60s I tried out on multiple occasions were broken in, they were just uncomfortable to wear and combined with glasses caused the headache. They obviously don't compare to the 595s I have now (and shouldn't since the 595s retail for close to $300).
Ear-canal headphones like the Shures are good if you always wear them at your desk or in an environment where you need 0 environmental awareness and the cord won't rub against anything, don't have to take them in and out a lot, and can get used to the feeling. I prefer closed full-size headphones like AKG 271s.
