This may sound like a dumb question, but, TVC, are you keeping the 360 add-on?  I know you do a lot of ripping and encoding?

I might pick Zodiac up, especially since I'm a Fincher fan and I STILL haven't seen it.

Those fuckers better put out Fight Club sometime this year too... someone stole my DVD copy  :maf

Beowulf looked so AWFUL, you cant really expect that to be good in HD

Bee Movie, CG aside, is probably the WORST movie I have ever, EVER seen. I walked out of my friends house.

For the time being, yes.  I'll make a decision in a year when the situation needs to be re-evaluated.

For the time being, yes.  I'll make a decision in a year when the situation needs to be re-evaluated.

I hope to use my 360 add-on to rip my hd-dvd collection into a media server.  Is it a hard process?  I've yet to hook up my 360 drive to my pc (I'll need a new pc to rip) but that's my 'consolation' prize to hd-dvd losing the war.

There's no telling if that's the last upcoming hd-dvd worth owning, as Paramount and Universal are still putting up a strong front.  There haven't been any huge announcements though.

Right now I'm trying to decide if I'll be picking up every relevant hd-dvd that is at least as good as it's blu equivalent, just for the ability to easily rip it's contents to a media server.  I'm much more likely to network my hdtvs in the future rather than outfit them with blu machines, although perhaps I'll do both.  I'd really rather use a media server solution for all my movies/music/tv shows in my house as opposed to carrying the media from room to room and constantly removing it from it's case.

Either way, I'm not paying more than $10 shipped for any hd-dvd from this point forward.  I've got a nice collection of over 30 though, and I'm looking forward to filling it out.

Zodiac :bow

I do kinda want a second disk for it, just for some documentaries on the real Zodiac. But the movie is sooo long and detailed that I don't see how 20min could improve it. Hell my only complaint about the movie would be its length anyway, which isn't even a big thing. The suspense really builds towards the end

Zodiac is the only great drama of 2007 you have seen so far outside of no country. Go get caught up. There Will Be Blood, Gone Baby Gone, Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, Michael Clayton, Into the Wild, The Assassination of Jesse James, Eastern Promises...etc are all waiting for you fool.

i loved it, but i can see why some people found it to be boring--it does give an extremely detailed insight into the various investigations. and the acting was pretty fucking good--particularly that of mark ruffalo. he could've gotten an oscar nomination for it, imo.

Zodiac deserved a number of oscar noms but it came out too early in the year so people forgot it existed.
