I took this while on the waterfront today. There were 3 other people there taking pictures of the god damned things. Ducks fucking attract people with cameras. These ones were like black and white. I think they might be seals or some shit.

I have some more zoomed in pictures on my other camera (the typical sony quality shit zoom am shit on this camera).

IDENTIFY

There are like colors there because of lol water and the sun was like directly in front of me.

Just saw the thread, had the wife over my shoulder so she was able to figure it out faster than I could.

Five Barrow's Goldeneyes-two on the outside are drakes, the three in the middle hens. Note the white crescent (lol muslim ducks) on the front-the common Goldeneye has more of a rounded spot there.

I should take a picture of this bookcase next to me with my wife's collection of birding books-seriously, she's got three whole shelves of academic grade orinthological reference that she uses all the time (she's a wildlife biologist by trade).

Birding is a great outdoor activity-lots of hiking and always unpredictable. My wife and I totally dig it, and we literally spend days chasing ducks up and down the puget sound to the Canada border when we are near Seattle to visit her sister. It's totally awesome.

TVC, here is your winter bird photographer challenge:

This is the most awesome of the semicommon puget sound ducks-the amazing Harlequin Duck. Find one and be amazed in their awesomeness, and get some good pics while you are at it. My wife took this one two years ago while we were out in 20 degree+wind chill weather looking for a King Eider north of Seattle near Bellingham right before Christmas, but you should be able to find one in and around the area if you can find a nice spot by the sea with a raft of ducks!

Man, those are classy looking ducks. Not like the dirty Redmond ducks that I threw quarters at to get their attention. I am assuming these ducks only pose for gold dubloons/canadian money.

, though they were from some lame fatty domestic duck.

My wife works with hunters, so they are always bartering computer help for game meat. I keep hoping one day I'll be able to get a mallard so lean that I have to wrap that fucker in bacon when roasting it to keep it juicy.

He's got that superbrainy look with a serrated bill, which is SO evilbore. I stole that from DU since my wife's picasa albums are mostly off-limits to board posting since she has some stuff easily in pro category that she doesn't want ripped off.

there is this INCREDIBLE french restaurant near me that has a fantastic wild game menu inc. duck, boar, bear, SO LEAN AND UNDOMESTICATED

I've eaten there enough times I've made friends with the owner and can order off the SECRET UNPASTEURIZED CHEESE MENU that he's smuggled back into the states

Call your bookies, because Discovery Park is huge and chances are I won't find my way out again, and I will be raped to death by ducks, bears, fat gay men that call themselves bears, and hypermasculine militia types that have to fuck my pucker in order to prove they are not gay. I'd say the odds are in favor of me buying it this time; solid snake I am not.
