You remember that distinguished mentally-challenged fight when you get attacked on the boat leaving form the city of Saman on the way to the experimental staff? DO you get anything for killing that fish thingy? He kept jumping back into the water and eventually swam away. Bitch ass...

finally beat worm fuck and the finished the grand staff stuff. fighting all the soldiers was fun as fuck. more battles like that plz

wayyyyyy too long without a save point though. oh well, it was still awesome as fuck. so i just got out of the jail cell and i'll play some more tomorrow.

So I messed with LO for about 3 hrs this weekend and got to the part where I just saved the kids.

That boss was actually kinda hard. It took me two tries to beat it because it surprised me with its Reflect spell.

So now I'm going to start exploring the underground with Seth, Sed and the King. How much longer 'till I finish Disc 3? How long is Disc 4 approximately?

Disc 4 varies depending on how much side shit you do.

I just wanna finish the game. I don't really care about maxing out or finishing all the sidequests. TBH, the sidequests have been pretty boring so far.

The ones on disc 4 are pretty cool, but I still haven't pursued them.

The required gameplay is probably only like 5 hours, but I don't think you'll have an easy time of it without getting some of the bonus stuff or doing some leveling.

You're gonna need to do some sidequests, especially for some of the skills that make the last fight easier

there are a couple sidequests that actually add to the stories of the characters and going to gongora's dungeon is a MUST since it answers a lot of questions about the storyline. trust me, you want to spend the 30 minutes going through it.

the rest isn't necessary, but it will make the last levels easier and at that point you'll want to just breeze through the final stages like i did.

Thanks. I just checked through that and I noticed that it said I could have stolen 2 slot seeds from the gueen rough eater in the Black Cave. I had no idea about that. Are they lost forever?

I was just reading through this page and I think I missed something. Are Slot Seeds usable just by themselves? I'm up to disk three and I haven't used one yet, I've been waiting to find out how I use them.

I've also been wondering when my skill slots will get upgraded.

Thanks. I didn't realise you just use them by themselves - I thought they would be used later in creating some other item.

My unintended lack of skill slots hasn't been a problem so far, but now that I can use the 20 or whatever Slot Seeds I've been carrying around it'll sure make it easier.

Not long... I made it to the final floor really easy. I havent tried the boss yet, I went back to the top to save so I wouldnt have to collect all the items again if I died. I am trying the boss today.

For Treasure Trove... it gets frustrating looking for that one item, it could be anything. My last item was a pot in the corner of a house in one of the many cities.

eek its been a while since I started off.

Anyways I think the main deal is just make sure you have a good party set up, everything else should come naturally if youve played a lot of RPGs (which you have of course

)

The party I used that got me through the game perfectly well was:

Front: Landsneckt (or whatever its called), Protector
Back: Medic, Alchemist, Survivalist

You can swap the Survivalist for a Troub if youre after a more advanced strategy.

basically the protector is necessary for the 1st few floors to soak up front row damage (he has good defense buff skills too) , as is the Alchemist to deal damge to FOEs (fighting classes dont deal shit all damage to those guys). Have your Alchemist focus on one element initially (fire is good)

Skills should be self explanatory.. its easy to tell which ones would be useful. Just make sure you get Medic's 'Immunize' pumped up ASAP.Its invalubale defense buffing against bosses, and it will serve you really well through the whole game. Fighters should focus on skills like: Appolon for survivialist, Crush for landswhatever.

A good strategy I used was save skill points as I leveled up and then focused on what was bringing the party down in battles, then assigned points accordingly to rectify the problem. Easy

I'm using a team of

* Landsnekt
* Protector
* Medic
* Survivalist
* Alchemist

I read on GameFAQs this is the "ideal" noob party to beat the game with, so I'm going with that. I also using their FAQ on the boards about what good builds (skills) to use. So far it's working out ok. Poison is destroying.

What equipment should I buy? I only have 3 slots for armor (1 is filled by Armor), but there are shields and gloves and boots.

survivalist is good but Id suggest a troubadour over it

having started a party exactly as that, Ive since replaced it with troub around lvl 30 and realized how much better they are

I also replaced my alchemist with a ronin (which is not a good idea until later in the game)
