People have recently uncovered his GAF profile as well. His post history, mostly dating back to 3-4 years ago, is very incriminating. It reinforces the idea that he's been a huge douche bag from the very beginning, and that the douchiness is not a product of his newly found popularity or sudden pein-growth.
the most famous dickery he's done is telling that japanese developer at the gdc conference that japanese games just suck, then apologizing by saying 'sorry if i was harsh but man your games are shit', then doubling down more, then finally apologizing to the guy.he also took advantage of his game's rather lengthy development process to resubmit his game for another indie award even though he had already won before. he's very good friends with the top guy of the group that gives the award so that's kind of fishy (lullllz). phil fish even admitted he was pulling a dick move by entering again, but if it was allowed, it was allowed. then when he won the award (again) he told everyone to suck his dick.he said there was no pc version of fez because his vision is that you should be playing fez on a saturday morning with a controller in hand on your comfy couch.he's deflected comparisons to crush by saying the game has shitty art (which it kinda does but doesn't really address the gameplay comparison, which is more what people are getting at here i'd think)in general, he's been one of those super-arrogant indie "stars" without even finishing his game.oh, and he's french-canadian.
