I'm on the verge of lvl 38, and was all ready to get my mount on Sunday, but I heard this morning that they are allegedly lowering the riding skill to lvl 30 and lowering the price to 35G!  :wtf

I might just 'aspect of the cheetah' around until I hear something concrete. 55G would totally gear me up @ 40.  :D

That SLab run was truly hell, to a point it was comical. I am not even sure why it was so hard.

I got my prot pally to 50. I had always panned out exactly where I was going at 50: Plaguelands. I have head and seen prot pallies grinding there. I have come to find it is as awesome as expected. Taking on 8 50-51 mobs as a level 50, and just never droping below 50% health and basically killing them all with retribution aura and the damage from your blocks. I first tried a Avenger shield, consencrate, holy whatever that aoe spel is and it did tons of damage but drained my mana. So now its mostly judging seal of light, hitting with seal of wisdom and holy shield + consencrate.

ZF was epic when I was around lv40+. When I first got to lv70 I started soloing it to farm mageweave cloth, which sells well.

I nice 1H axe drops there, great for tanking at that level. iirc I got it after a few runs

Heh I haven't played in so long. Got bored of my hunter and -like I said- been stuck at 64 since about December now.

I really want to level up a priest again. I did it WAY THE FUCK BACK when they first introduced the lightwell into the game (i'm a OG player from January 2005) and just stopped when I sold my account, but I do miss it alot.

I wish Blizzard would just let us start like a level 40 or 50 class character. it's so distinguished mentally-challenged that they don't let us.

They actually dumbed down 1-60 a fuckton. That said, I still haven't found the will power to level another character from start to finish. I did my hunter 1-60 3 or so years ago, then 70 with the launch of BC; sold that, my friend gave me his rogue, leveled that to 70, and have been playing that since. I actually don't mind 60-70 at all, strangely enough. I've done that about 5 or 6 times on friends' accounts for gold.

I guess it all depends on the person though, because I know people who have spent more time on the game leveling up characters than doing anything else.

Yep, WWS is commonly used for raids. Great tool, although over the past few months due to their increase in popularity they've added queue times to view data at certain hours depending on how busy their servers are.

Good stuff nonetheless.

Oh I know. I got from 24-64 in about three weeks when I had winter vacation in december. I just hate 1-20 so much as both horde and alliance.

You really ought to level your blacksmithing and Shattered Sun reputation.  The shield you get at Exalted is a great upgrade, as are the swords you can make as a master swordsmith.

My warrior has been PVP/solo oriented for a long long time, but I'm trying to re-gear him for tanking:

WotLK beta sign ups. The likelihood of being chosen is probably relatively small, but if their criteria for the BC beta is any indicator, I might have a fairly good chance. Basically they picked all the no-lifers (High Warlords/Grand Marshal and Naxx raiders) like myself.

What's up with horde ganking people on Quel Danas? Usually the horde/alliance get together very well there but today a dumbass warrior and hunter kept ganking me and some other people. I killed them a few times, they killed me more times. Oh well

That is par for the course -- mass amounts of high-level characters squished into a tiny questing area = ganking.  Doing it as a warrior isn't bad since most people are pretty intimidated by warriors and know how quickly they can turn the tables on a ganker.  Though if you're running around with a sword n' board and people can tell that you are Prot-spec'ed then you will obviously be gank-bait.  Oh and don't even think that Allies aren't ganking as well :P

Quel'Danas with a warlock is pretty awful, since warlocks are already free kills for rogues, and the very nature of the rogue class means that most people who roll it will be enthusiastic gankers.

My advice on Quel'Danas is to just skip the quests that rely on random drops.  It's hard to do when you are desperate for rep, but it's pretty frustrating to spend 20 minutes killing Naga and getting ganked only to not have even half the items you need.  Run Magister's Terrace in Normal Mode until you stop getting rep for it (around Honored I think), then start dedicating yourself more to the dailies.

I have three 70s and only do dailies on the Shaman.  The warlock dies too easily and the resto druid takes forever to kill mobs. Meanwhile, I blaze through the dailies on my Shaman. I normally get all the drops I need by the time I wander through that specific area. PD can attest to how fast I kill. I like helping healers do their dailies, as they provide me all the gank protection I need and I knock out their quests in about 5 minutes per quest.

Yea your shaman kills things fast. Hell everyone kills mobs fast except me haha. I've been thinking about creating a mage or warlock

I got ganked a couple times today. This time I just stood there and laughed while the rogue tried to kill me. Too him awhile to get my health low, and by that time some alliance players came by and bailed me out

Out of curiosity I decided enter a heroic by myself and see how I fared. I tried Ramparts first and pulled the two mobs at the entrance. They were able to take my health down rather fast, but I think I could possibly do it with a group. Then I tried BF...holy shit! I pulled the first two mobs and they were doing 3k a hit. I couldn't even get out of the instance before I died.

I've tried MgT (reg) and was able to take the damage of the melee mobs. I have a feeling the casters would still fuck me over, like they did before I got past 490def

i need moar health

EPIC BUMP!

Finally finished SH today. Whoa, lots of mobs. Luckily we had an OT to help me, but I actually was able to hold 5 mobs for awhile.

web stats FTW!
http://wowwebstats.com/ifs14ojpunevi

I had trouble holding arrgo with the warlock nuking shit. She had 10k+ health so I didn't worry too much about her taking damage.

not bad i guess

impressions a bit later. i think i'll leave pvp to the big boys tho

impressions:

Took forever to download lol. I only played for 30min or so to try things out (I'll really explore the game during the weekend). I'm a prot warrior and really liked Shockwave, which is going to be sweet for a bit of cc in instances. Generates lots of threat and stuns enemies for 4sec; it only stuns enemies right in front of you (in a cone) so you'll have to move around a bit to get the perfect position.

I did a couple quests in Howling Fjord. Nice looking rural area. I want to do an instance tomorrow. Utgarde Keep is apparently good for me (I don't have any purple gear)

playing a bit now since I really like to play games with my wife and we don't have warhammer beta accounts yet. No guild or anything this time, just doing some of the casual stuff and the occasional dungeon daily. Not very exciting to be honest.  :-\

Wrath of the Lich King looks like WoW:BC++. I'll probably grab it if the massive, super hardcore Warhammer guild my wife and mmo friends convinced me to join doesn't work out.

I did a bit of Utgarde Keep with a epic geared hunter last night. We were able to take out about 6 mobs before the server went down. The first pull is pretty straight forward: a couple mobs at the entrance to a large hall. But after they're finished you come across a pretty tough hall where it's easy to accidentally pull 3-4 lv70 mobs if you aren't careful. Lots of people are constantly doing the two new instances so hopefully I'll be able to get a full group later today.

edit: omg i finally just got a UK group and the server went down  :lol

smh at Blizzard's server "stability"

I hit 65 yesterday and decided to finally try to level up Jewelcrafting. 275-300 is a bitch. I've spent 150 gold and am at 288 now, and I have to go farm Demonic Runes for 10 of those last 12 points. Ugggggh.

I'm hooking up a second monitor now so I can Hulu BONES while grinding.

smh indeed

I was able to get an Utgarde group a couple hours ago. The trash mobs are pretty damn easy, and there are a lot of non-elite mobs running around. Everyone in the group was epic geared except me, and our mage was having a blast one shotting the non-elites and doing shit tons of damage to everything else. I lost arrgo more than a few times due to that type of nuking but we never had problems with the trash.

first boss is easy imo but a rogue accidentally arrgo'd the fight before we were ready (causing a wipe)

second boss is much tougher; two mobs, one caster and one brawler dude. Once you kill one of them he turns into an elite ghost and does a lot of damage until you take out the other boss

third boss...wow. His first form is easy as fuck, but then he's revived into this undead thing and hands out lots o' damage. Plus he has this one crit that does a fuck ton of damage: he hit me for 12k wtf. After we wiped I couldn't release my spirt for some reason, then the server went down. God dammit

also seems like some of the older gear stats have been changed. I have 499def on my character, but in the beta my character copy has 479def.

I wish Blizzard offered you to buy pre levelled characters, atleast up to like 50 or some shit.
