I like going to a nice resturaunt having a good bordo then going to see a movie. After that get some coffee/desert go to a bar have a few drinks dance a little. Then if were hungry after all that go to a allnight diner. I've had fun under the stars too. Some girls like outdoors looking at the stars and i dont mind it.

Thats usually what i'd do if i was in the single life. Its usually a combination of all those things.

I was thinking the same thing. Find a locally owned place. You won't find anything impressive or special in a chain. Every city has at least one bourgeois fuckhead restaurant with an evolving menu and a wine list longer than your girl's legs.

Some more generic answers:
1. A night out at the opera house or symphony hall in SF. Preceded or followed by a walk around the city and/or dinner. Then going home and spend hours star gazing.

2. Taking a walk through a quiet park with a lake in the late afternoon in the fall.
