It's weird, the thought going through my mind was "Shit, this is gonna be expensive...I really should leave" but I was so drunk I thought it would be rude to articulate that thought.

Meanwhile, the teacher was sitting next to me, half-dozing, warbling "YOU ARE MY EVERYTHING/EVERYTHING IS YOU" to the hostess.

The first time I went to a strip club, some strippers started trying to get my friend and I to buy them drinks. They were really hot although I kinda wanted to wash my hand after shaking hands with one of them. Anyways, I was being polite even as they bug me for drinks but my friend just asked them to go away.

I went to a few Filipino hostess bars with teachers in my day, but never spent more than about $200 in a single evening (note: this is cheap). I never went to a soapland, though I did have a very depressing experience with a Nigerian tout and some really depressed-looking, probably underage Eastern European strippers in Kabukicho.

My "oh god, where did my paycheck" go experience happened in Vegas, where a stripper genetically engineered to steal my money ("Part Japanese. Part white. All hot.") convinced my drunk ass to go to the Champagne Room.

Do they actually talk dirty to you? I only went to a strip club once and couldn't stay more than ten minutes. Not my kind of atmosphere. As it happened, I met a very sweet girl shortly afterward and ended up staying at her apartment, first time for me. Maybe I should go to strip clubs and leave immediately more often.
