Some notes from the scans:
- SO4 was original planned as SO Zero, but they didn't want zero sales so they went with SO4
- Most of the systems in SO4 will be similar to SO3, Gotanda doesn't expect there to be any major changes
- SO4 doesn't really sound progressive at all if you weren't a fan of SO3, sounds like they want to make more of the same probably because it sold so well :/
- IU is totally seamless, like a MMORPG
- Even when you pause the game the menu options just pop up over the screen, there's no seperate pause screen
- Situations that are solved quickly offer bonus rewards like full party healing and so on
- There is a day/night cycle, it takes about 10 minutes of realtime to go from day to night and vice versa
- You will control the main character only, there are party members but you will control their AI using stances instead of commands
- Since the entire game is realtime, there will be a heavier involvement in AI and so on than previous games
- There are many characters in the game and each of them have their own stories
- But the way the stories are presented will NOT be like Valkyrie Profiles short story omnibus style, instead the characters will be fleshed out as they interact and travel together in the main story
