Its not about fooling anymore, its about trying to LOOK like a fool with horrible jokes that arent funny anyone who comes near my office today to try this shit will have the door slammed on their fingers.

A friend in the office who just had his first child 3 months ago, called his mom and said his girlfriend is pregnant again. His mom started crying, he said he had to go and he still hasn't told her it's a joke. That's fucked up.

Yeah, the Internet has convinced people that AFD is

1) say something entirely believable without any context
2) people believe it
3) go, "HAHA, GOTCHA"

Lying to people is not a joke! There's a good comedy sketch about this I can't track down right now.

Anyways, good step 1s are

1a) say something possibly believable with lots of context that has people scratching their heads until April 2nd
1b) say something entirely unbelievable with lots of context that people realize is a joke and laugh

The point of AFD isn't to fool people into believing a lie, it's to drive them mad with confusion over whether you're making an AFD joke or not. They should absolutely think you are, but have no way to prove it, driving them slowly insane. This is the way.

We got to class and a couple minutes later he started handing out exams. I figured it was an April Fools joke considering we don't have a test until late April, but he kept the joke up for like 10 minutes lol - until this foreign girl started crying because she was going to fail it
