Speaking purely as an observer: My faith in you, the people of america, couldn't be lower. So I still think you fuck this up somehow

The controller itself isn't much different in functionality or design from Nintendo's Wii remote, but comes with four face buttons, an analog stick and microphone. There are also plans for the controller to interact with the Xbox Live Vision Camera, the source said.Microsoft's controller isn't just a response to "Wii Sports"; it's slightly more ambitious. "They want the usual assortment of 'Halo'/ 'Gears'/ 'Forza'/ whatever, just in waggle form," our source told us. Such idea-generation has not gone smoothly. "The whole thing is a colossal clusterf---," the source said. "[Microsoft] marketing just want it so they can match the Wii point for point. The biggest parts of their marketing materials outline how easy it would be for third parties to port their Wii games to the 360."In addition to designing the interface for the controller, Rare has also fleshed out Microsoft's take on Nintendo's Mii avatar concept, the source said. Microsoft's Miis are designed to be associated with any game that incorporates the controller and create a standard "look" for the games. The avatars aren't tied to a controller when in use, as Xbox Live profiles currently are.
Rumor? You are mistaken
The Rare mention is because the launch title with the waggle is Viva Pinata Party Animals
not with a bang but a waggle
oh shit, i just realized patrick klepsack broke this news. dude's becoming the tom brokaw of gaming
you're never gonna pull in casual users at the 360's price point
That $249 includes:1) a game (the only game, even)2) a stylish system not designed like a fucking brick houseTo compete, MS would need a $249 or less SKU that includes a 360 with a HDD + a regular controller + a waggle controller + a game
nor will a wacky controller make your mom want to play halo. a wii sports knockoff with a bundled waggle wand would at least be comprehensible -- i don't know why microsoft thinks that motion control has valid gaming applications. nobody else does.

That's ridiculous. And how it theoretically not be possible to ship a $30 cheaper Arcade SKU with waggle controls and some awful Wii Sports knock off. Why include the regular controller in that SKU, even.
LOL at all the bitter tears from Sony fans.
I would like to play Gears and RE5 with waggle. But I think I'm the only one
Man oh man, it's laughably late in the game to be trying to get a new peripheral over. Oh well, this at least increases the chance of getting the good Wii controls on RE5.
bet house of the dead 4 uses this
