i don't think that it's coming to the 360 but i wish that it would.   all the other games that were supposed to be exclusive had migrated to other systems, like one of my favorite series silent hill (it turns out the sh5 is coming to the 360 also).  the time for exclusives is over and some of these big series that were bought by sony and microsoft will suffer if they don't go multi-platform.  

the question is, will mgs4 help sell ps3?  is the series and the game that powerful?  probably.  and then it won't need to go cross platform.  but if it is not powerful enough then it will be a huge blow to the ps3 and the market share for sony.  besides, i heard the game was so fucking big it couldn't fit on the bluray disc which means it would have to be on 6 dvds or more to come to the 360 (just another reason microsoft was fucking stupid to stick with dvd instead of making the system compatible with hddvd or bluray).  

final fantasy is the only one left that would be a big blockbuster and i wonder what the status of that is.  it could go to all platforms but we'll have to wait for another couple years before even starting to speculate on an unfinished project.  

i'd also like to see lost odyssey and blue dragon over on ps3.

i just feel like the 360 is the nes, ps1, or ps2 of this generation with all the cool games and general populace accessibility.  it seems like the winner.  personally i find this to be a shame because the machine was a piece of shit that broke on almost all of us and MS is a money pit that charges for online play, as well as every little aspect of the 360 to nickel and dime gamers to death.  hopefully they will change or maybe ps3 will start to pick up again.  we'll see.  

either way it comes down to the irrefutable fact that i should NEVER have bought a 360 so soon in the war, and next generation i will not be buying any new systems until the dust settles and the prices drop.  ever since i was a kid too poor to get new systems, i had waited 2 to 3 years to buy the newest generation of game systems, and had always been happy.  but this time i messed up and jumped in and now i've got my second 360 and wasted 50 bucks on an online subscription, two problems that will likely fix themselves in the next couple years (fixed with better, longer lasting systems and free internet gaming access - or at least i would have known that there is nothing to play online anyway).

I'm pretty sure the nail in the coffin was the fact it takes up an entire 50 GB Blu-ray disc. Fuck, even the Playstation era didn't have a game longer than four discs. (at least I don't think so). MGS4 on 360 would be five or six, and that's a lot of switching around.

Seriously, give up hope. Especially now that the 360's probably going to start hardcore declining due to the fact there's no good first party shit coming out for the system in quite a while. (and since Fable 1 is overrated, I don't see me liking Fable 2 that much more)

while the stories have gotten worse along the series, except for mgs3 which was one of the best, the metal gear series gameplay has always been top notch.

Cutting out "internets forum nonsensical bullshit joke-meme talk" for a minute, it's not that I really think the game is coming out, so much as I can easily see it being released in some form later on.  Especially if it's not as big a hit as Konami hopes it will be as a system-exclusive.  Metal Gear Solid has largely been a Playstation franchise, but so what?  People say the same thing about Grand Theft Auto, despite the fact that GTA started and has also always been released on PC, several GTAs hit the Gameboy platforms, and GTAIII, VC, and San Andreas all saw Xbox ports.  Plus there's MGS2 Substance on XBox and MGS GB on GBC.  They're going to go where the money can be made, plain and simple.

Considering the likely heavy use of CGI movies to tell the kooky story there is likely no way MGS is coming to the 360.  I don't understand why so many people are hyped for the game to be honest.  After playing MGS on the PC eons ago I never did understand the draw.

reasons i can think of:

1- cutscenes from the old game, they could be pre-recorded or something, i dunno
2- audio? lol
3- it's not using 50 gig but 30gig or something
4- a mistake, it's single layer only.

yeah, i sincerely doubt it will come to 360. The game is tailor-made for the PS3 and its not the type of game that would do well with NA's mainstream audience. Really, the majority of the game's sales here will be people that are fans of the series.

There aren't many xbox owners that can say that.
