My only bad experience occured back in the days of rec.games.video.*

I traded carts with a guy only to have him not send me my cart....

he had all of the usual excuses...

- his dad died, the funeral cremation and spreading of the ashes in tibet delayed the shippment
- he shipped it but for some odd reason it was returned (with emphasis on the possibility that it had something to do with my address - haha)
- he had to get an emergency sex change etc...

Finally I jokingly told him I was just gonna have my cousin who lived near him come to his address and pick it up personally that night - he freaked out and wrote all of these messages on usenet, and even called his local police saying that a guy of of the internet had threatened him. He wrote 10 paragraph long posts on usenet telling everyone how he tried to ship me the game ,and all of his woes and now he is scared because he feared i was gonna come and bruise him.

- man he did all this just to save sending out a SNES cart?

Finally I guess the fear and tension got to him so he sent me my cart back with an apology message....

Hope he enjoyed acting like a huge pussay on the internet just for a 3 week Cybernator rental.

When you guys find out that Distantmantra's dad died, had to be cremated and then Distantmantra had to fly to Tibet in order to spread the ashes Ichi will feel ashamed for making such a big fuss about video-games.

Well thats what caused the first delay anyway. After Distantmantra's wife forgot to ship it.

The more recent event preventing the shipment has Distantmantra traveling to the year 2094 where he defeats a cyborg enemy who had intended on traveling back to 2008 and killing Ichi when 4 nukes are dropped on Japan.

I mean really Ichi - you wont be able to spend any of that money unless Distantmantra defeats your cyborg assassin in 2094 preventing it from traveling back in time and defeating you.

I mailed out Ichi's box on Saturday morning after he emailed me, the post office said it would take 6-10 days to get to him. It better get there for $63. I threw in my own copy of the out of print Criterion Collection version of Notorious for Ichi, since he didn't already have it based on that Criterion thread we had back in the Fall. I felt I needed to put something else in the box after taking forever. I saw a copy on ebay going for $95, so I figured it was worthy of going in the box.

I'm a giant douche, I just kept putting it off after running into difficulties mailing it earlier on. I deserve to be banned for being such a lazy jerk about the whole thing, and all the awesome stuff Ichi sent me back in the Fall. I honestly wasn't planning on ripping you off, I just forgot after getting so frustrated with the mailing crap I encountered previously. But, that's no excuse for my gigantic douchebaggery.

Keep an eye out for your 12 pound box from Seattle, it's being sent to the school address you gave me. Along with lots of other things, it has the following in it:
