I got banned from GAF for making a thread asking why people who get drunk and drive are messed up to the point they run into trees and speed and go across medians and shit and pointed out I've drove messed up before and still really aware of what was going on to not do that. I guess the GAF moderators social consciousness could not in good reason let them let me continue to post doing somethnig that reprehensable. Maybe I should be more like the pervs and homos over there.

I really like EB 'cause the people that populate this place were the same people that made GAF interesting to read and it's a pretty laid back forum in general without the hassle of having to abide by 300 arbitrary rules that may or may not apply at any given moment.

same here, if i knew this is where everyone hung out id have been here years ago. there's a handful of people still left there who if they posted here I'd never need to go there again.

I never believed it was necessary at all to have moderation that's any stricter than EB's to run a gaming forum well, except maybe for the anti-gay remarks and insults

all it creates is elitism, hypocrisy, favoritism, paranoia and vendettas, if GAy has such a huge problem with trolls now it's because of people who've been banned years ago for petty reasons and trolled the forum in retaliation, to then be banned and troll back even harder... it's only because of that avalanche that GAy needs to be moderated so severely now

Those two forums are just really bad. Don't know how to explain otherwise, but go ahead and have a look at both sites and see for yourself.

There's a couple of Xfags with two notorious permabanned Sfags. (those of you that frequent(ed) NeoGAF should know who they are), plus a stupid amount of completely non-gaming-related drama. Be careful - there are no NSFW restrictions. It's not much of a gaming forum, tbh.

FG is for XBox, OA was made for Sony but since FG imploded OA is more balanced. But by 'balanced' I mean an equal amount of vitriolic fanboys.

I think what kept me from really going to OA was the lengths they go to 'get' someone. I've seen many instances where a person's personal life was assaulted by bored people on the internet. Sure, half the blame lies on the person dicking around with them, but even so.

We leave them alone, and so far they've left us alone. Thankfully we never had the history GAF has had with them, we its pretty clear we dont exist to take their members.
