Completely agreed. I'm not even halfway done (and I've clocked a little over 30 hours) and it's pretty much my favorite Zelda ever already.

What cutscene was that, Bloodwake?

spoiler (click to show/hide)
The one where Link jousts with the Moblin king on the Eldin bridge, knocks him off his boar from the bridge to the abyss below, and then makes this awesome pose while on Epona with his sword gleaming in the air?

Himu share your freinds code.

Yeah the music sounds like it's composed good, but at the same time there just isn't any "catchy" tunes as there were in OoT and MM.

I've now put in about 5 hours into the game, and I haven't even gotten to the first dungeon yet.  :lol

This game must be fucking huge!  Honestly, I have not been wasting any time either.  Thats my actual play time without any real fucking around.

So far my impressions of the game are nothing but positive.  The game just seems to perfectly put together.  I love everything about it.  The art, the sound effects, that crazy Midna character, the wolf, the feel of the wolf, the combat.  It's just brilliant stuff everywhere you look.

I can't wait to see what more this game offers up, as i've already been thrilled with what i've played so far.

I even found a random dungeon off to the side of Hyrule field and got me a heart piece.

Yeah I found some random dungeon that had like 10-12 floors of non stop battling. Got to the bottom and landed me a heart piece. It was awesome.

It was near Lake Hylia I believe.

I'd say my main (only?) complaint with this game is that the bosses are way too easy. In fact, the game is pretty easy as a whole, but it's so damn fun I really don't notice. It's still disappointing though, because Nintendo was all like,"Yeah this is going to be for you hardcore Zelda fans. It's going to be hard!"

Whatever.

They stop doing the variety and story missions between dungeons after awhile, and there was a bit dead time of nothing but exploration and dungeon crawling, but now the story sections are back. Kinda wish they stuck to the variety they had between dungeons but oh well.

It was a great dungeon in terms of fun but like...I still can't help but feel disappointed. It feels like it was there just for fanservice. Nothing in that dungeon was time related at all!

It would have been awesome if in order to progress through the dungeon you would have to switch between adult and kid Link constantly

I beat it.

Good game, not the best Zelda evar though, I don't think. The magic wears off a bit towards the end. Dungeon to dungeon to dungeon to finish. I liked the pacing of the first 2/3 much better.

And most of the coolest items fall into disuse.

Great game though, never bored. I'm going to start looking for secrets and crap now.

Don't know how anyone could say it was tedious

There were some cool bits, mainly Hyrule Castle, but the whole village thing was totally pointless.  And way to make me go fishing without any instruction.  I still don't even know how I managed to catch those fish.  It involved lots of flailing and looking like an ass.

Herding stuff was lame (and they make you do it twice), the village was lame (and you have to do stuff there twice), the forest and cave were cool (and you have to go through it twice. . .some parts 3 times) -- I see the added length to this game must come from the constant backtracking.

Also, the environmental textures are muddy and poor even for a GC game.  The textures on characters, and indeed, the modeling, is fine, but the environments leave much to be desired.  Again, Hyrule Castle stands out as being the superlative area.

And the wolf is lame.  And the waggle is lame, but since its implementation isn't too intrusive, it's not near game ruining.

The town segment was mostly used to get you up to speed with the controls and get used to them.

I think the wolf segments were really cool and I like the "waggle".

I really wish you could disable the waggle attacking.  It doesn't even make sense when you're the wolf.  At least swinging the wiimote makes sense with a sword.  It feels so tacked on.  You're twitching your wrist in place of pressing a digital button.

Because there's no point to it.  Let me press a button if the action on screen is not dependent on which direction or how fast I am waggling.

It does depend on how fast you waggle. You can do combos and shit dude. Wave the remote 3 times to do a three hit combo, stuff like that.

I just don't get the complaint at all. Sure it could be virtually be done with a button, but isn't that what Nintendo was going for with the remote in the first place? I personally see that as something that should be applauded. You get the same results you get for pushing a button by simply flicking your wrist. This frees up so much space in the interface and makes playing it a breeze, a simple comfortable breeze.

B trigger ftw.

Waggle sucks, I would so much rather the A button it's tedious, boring, and adds nothing to the overall feel to the game past the first 5 minutes of the gimmick.

The Aiming I like a lot, but the sword waggling sucks.

I think you guys are paying too much attention to the controls in general. Just play the goddamn game. Once I pick up my Wiimote I don't notice a difference at all. I'm in a certain zone.

And honestly, I think the sword stuff adds to the game. There's nothing better than finishing off a boss with a awesome sword attack you did yourself and then Link poses. Atleast to me.

Actually, the game's interface sucks.  I don't like having all that overlay stuff on the side of the screen.  It could've been done in a much more efficient fashion.  That stuff needs to be in a corner, not all over the side of the screen, even if it's transparent.

I like the waggle for some of the sword moves you learn latter on. It frees up the A button to do other stuff like jump attacks.

Also,  :lol at calling the game tedious.

Your white man on GAF right? You pretty much get off on the movie China Town which is the very definition of Tedious. So get that shit out of my face.

You are mistaken.  I merely like Chinatown.  You just remember Chinatown because I was able to bust your latest account due to you being too dumb to realize you made the same comment about Chinatown with a previous account.

And yes, the first 2-3 hour of the game are flat out bad.  If the game was titled anything but Legend of Zelda, people would be bitching about it.

And Himu, every 3d zelda game has had an interface like that, where you have 3 sub-weapons equipped at once.

The only Zelda with truly difficult dungeons was Oracle of Ages -- some of those racked my brains and reflexes. I just finished the 4th temple -- the Arbiter's Whatevers -- and I haven't encountered anything more or less difficult than OoT's dungeons yet (thankfully, the water temple didn't run at the OoT Water Temple's 10fps). I think the three good Wind Waker dungeons (Dragon's Roost, Deku Tree and that ancient ruin one with the golem boss) are slightly better than the four major TP dungeons I've played so far, but I'm told that the Time Temple and some sky palace dungeon will impress me.

What do you mean the three good WW dungeons, that game only had 3 dungeons.

I think Lttp has the best dungeons. I also thought the sky tower was hard in Link Awakening, but that might be because I played it when I was 10. It was hard for my little brain to realize you had to roll the ball.
