anyway, no. I've kicked the shit out of the game so far and haven't run into anything frustrating. actually, the whole problem with the game is the lack of isolated, timed battles. thats what it is.

I breezed through 90% of it too, and I usually posted on EvilBore after I got through a section. The only one where I was legitimately screwed on was the beginning of chapter 8. Oh and that flying fish boss, both of which I tried like 3x before opening my laptop.

but man....this game...

I see what they were going for and it kinda works, but it falls apart so often. I thought energy re-gen and the new scoring system were huge improvements, but I don't like it as much. It seems dumbed down. Back to Sigma. If only I could take NG2 weapons + movesets and put them in NG1! <3 Kusari-gara and claws soooo much.

chapter 12 was an attack on the eyes. Probably my least favorite level, even more so than 9. At first I thought my game was fucked up when I entered the blue mist forest with the neverending stream of tittymechs

best: 5-7, 10 and 11
worst 9 and 12

Had a bit of trouble with the first phase of the final boss. Hardest bow only battle in the game

yeah... bow and dark void ninpo if you want to mix it up

edit: like mcdragon said. There was frustration involved for me though. Sometimes when I set up the attack, he would lower his body, making the void miss completely, gone is the ninpo slot. I hated that battle tbh

Last boss goes down quick if you attack him directly. YOu just have to be attentive of his high damage grab. Its avoidable though and very telegraphed.

Maybe I'm not used to them yet, but I found the dual katanas to be one of the lesser weapons of the game. I don't know, it just didn't click with me. Weapons that got me through the game are the scythe mainly, then lunar and claws. I'm saving my favorite, the Vigoorian Flails, for an Acolyte single weapon asskickery run. I tested them for a while and they're even more badass than in the first game (massive air combos)

oh man, did i miss the katanas? i finished ch 4 and didnt see em... all i have is the sword, lunar staff and falcon talons. is there anyway to get them later? im just starting ch 5

You go from point A to B as Nero. Then you go from point B to A as Dante, while fighting the same exact bosses. Then you switch back to Nero at point A to fight the final boss.

I started a new game on Warrior (my Acolyte save is my Weapon achievement game), and I'm not doing so bad. Granted there are some choke points - like before Chapter 3 boss, they place like 5 flying demons and a bunch of regular fiends, and I die in like 10 seconds after getting juggled by fireballs.

The enemy placement is totally different at points, too.

And damn do I love the Lunar. Dishes out OTs like creamy smooth shit. The sword seems to be only useful for Flying Swallow

Each difficulty has a single autoslave slot iirc so it shouldn't overwrite. I think I have 3 games going on currently via autosave.

Same exact shit happened to me yesterday.

Question, are you supposed to use the bow and arrow to beat chapter 3's boss? I got shocked everytime I tried to get near him so that's what I did.

@ Chapter 3 boss: Yes just use the bow and plug him in the face with charged shots, use Ninpo (Fire) or Y attack with Lunar for the Fish

@ Chapter 12 Armadillos: Use Incendiary Shurikens to the face, deals major damage

can someone help me out with chapter 12 boss? I think it's the chapter 12 boss? I'm fighting the guy from chapter 8 but now over a pit of lava which can kill me in just a few seconds when the camera decides to be ass 95% of the time, and he throws out random attacks which seem to be entirely inescapable, and sometimes flies off so I can't hit him. On top of this, the bloom keeps getting in my way and makes it entirely impossible to see JACK SHIT.

I fucking hate bloom lighting.
