How do we know this Portal and not HL:Ep. 3 which we know has some Aperture Science goings ons?
It's not a computer, Cave Johnson is the guy who created Aperture Science. The first game never divulged his whereabouts, so the game doesn't have to be a prequel. It's possible Cave was the dude who drew all the directions and graffiti inside the courses.
