Well, you have to wonder how his team feels about it. I'm sure there is a bit of a hero sentiment going around, but I'd guess that for the most part, they wish that the whole thing would just go away. Dyack has made, and backpedaled on, many bold claims regarding his game, he really doesn't take criticism well, and his one-sided path of the righteous is peppered with contradictions. Sometimes, a dedicated PR spokesperson can be a good thing to have on staff. You can argue that it's refreshing to see this level of humanity and honesty from a developer, but then it would really need a level of consistency that isn't present here.
