The night before last, I went out to dinner with a friend and we got served by a really cute waitress with an awesome personality. Despite losing my ID, she got me drinks anyway. I really was not dressed to impressed (unshaven, uncombed, etc.) and simply did not feel like I was charming (I felt I was being rather sarcastic), but this waitress really was trying to hit it off with me. My friend went nuts over her and was trying hard to make an entrance, but crashed and burned. I even tried to help him out. But then she got me a free appetizer, sat down and continued to pry at me (I'm having a stressful week). This bummed my friend out even more, but especially so when she got me a sundae (for free and not some crappy kid's one, but a huge one!) because she felt bad that she was going to miss my going away party (despite the fact we just met!) and wanted to give me something. My friend watched as I ate the delicious sundae. Then she told me after we paid for our check that she was coming to visit me on Saturday at my store before I left.
My friend punched me.
The next day, the super cute bank teller that I visit every other day when I make our deposit runs for the store (and have never summoned up the courage to ask out), was upset when my SGA told her I was leaving. I was then told that she asked a ton of questions about me and seemed interested in my going away party, but my SGA didn't know if it was cool to invite her. I slapped my SGA. Despite not getting home from inventory 'till 1 AM last night, I went into work early to drop off my last deposit ever at the bank to see the teller. She seemed geniunely bummed I was leaving and when I asked her if she wanted to come to my going away party, she made some weird noise that actually embarassed her because of the volume of it.
So, like, just hours from my departure and this happens? Stupid California.
