No, I'm talking about Eastern developers as well. While PS3 and 360 get Resident Evil 5, the Wii gets Umbrella Chronicles, the latest of the several, disposable and will be ignored, shoot em up RE games. While Wii gets Dragon Quest Swords, the DS gets Dragon Quest IX. It will probably get X as well. Square hasn't done anything worth a damn on the Wii but they have several DS projects, a couple for PSP, and a couple major projects for PS3.
I have yet to see a Japanese developer really treat the Wii as a legitimate console outside of Nintendo and their subsidiaries. They almost see it like the western developers: just a dumping ground for ports and useless titles to get enough capital to invest in their desired PS3 and 360 projects.
This year could be different as the Wii now has established itself as the clear leader but if they are able to profit from the PS3 and 360, I don't expect any developers to have a Wii-centric strategy.
I do agree that Nintendo's load has been blown. Mario, Mario Kart, Smash Brothers, Zelda, Metroid, etc. Every major franchise has been out and due to Nintendo's dumbass policy, outside of the last two, we only see one iteration per generation. Mario Galaxy 2 would go great for a 2010 release. All they have left is Mario Baseball 2. I suppose they will release the obligatory Mario Golf and Tennis games but Nintendo has reached the bottom of the barrel quickly.
