The conference was utter cack last year, but some significant media / press came out afterwards. I'm half expecting similar this year.

I hope Retro's game is shown... or 1:1 Star Wars awesomeness

also can't wait to see all the third party games that developers have been working on for 2-3 years. you know, the secret first batch of games that developers worked very hard on in order to fully take advantage of the wii after being convinced of it's success after E3 2006

Riiiight Pee Dee. I doubt you're gonna see a lot of 3rd party wii shit, because 3rd party wii shit doesn't sell. In fact, there could be more useless crap peripherals shown than actual quality, AAA potential 3rd party games.

Also, does EB have an IRC channel or does everyone just hang out in GAF's?

I'm not getting hyped up at all, b/c I know they're gonna show Animal Crossing, Wii Music, and boring stuff... I want to see DS RPG announcements (Soma Bringer, Heracles, World Destruction, ASH), Wii RPG stuff, and some retro revivals - Kid Icarus, a new StarTropics, fuck a new Mach Rider would be fucking awesome. Oh yeah, and an announcement of a storage solution. And Mother 3 in the US, someway, somehow...

So far that E3 media briefing site doesn't seem blocked from work, I hope the actual stream, when it goes live, won't be either.

anyways expect disapointment. This is the company that had Pac Man VS as their ending things. They also had a dj playing elektro plankton once. They generally have the worst conferences.
