I have an old kawai keyboard from the 90's that has a little feature that's pretty much wii music. It's called concert magic, basically there's a variety of prerecorded songs, and you hit any key and the music starts playing, you're just controlling its rhythm by mashing random keys

I think that happened sometime around Microsoft got into the business and brought along all the PC fegs with them, and their official Halo urinal containers so they wouldn't have to get their ass off the couch to do things like piss.
