Official Nintendo E3 Press Conference Thread of Nongames for Nongamers

The only good looking aspect (not graphically) of it was that when using that gun that charges up and splits in 3 directions, you can twist your hand to make it either horizontal or vertical.  That is pretty cool.  Not judging on the tech here, but aesthetically this game is garbage.  I think in a staff meeting someone came up with the idea to make somethings really glow bright and it ends up looking like a neon nightmare when playing it.  Then he goes on to talk about how the enemy has all this texture work, but then you only see it on that monster.  Your gun is hideous, the environment is bland and ugly, and the entire game looks uneven.  Someone should make XIII 2 or something for the Wii.  Use a unique/stylized aesthetic instead of trying to make it look like the big boy games on lesser hardware.

I'm sure they could have scrapped up some CG for games that aren't going to come out until late next year, like Final Fantasy, God of War, etc - but they didn't bother. People wanted a realistic Zelda with Twilight Princess, then they gave it to them, revealed it a year and a half before it was even released, and by the time it was released the hype burned out. They're working on stuff, why is it important to show it off this early?

First off, what the hell is up with this GUI? It's all over the place and not intuitive at all.

Better look at the UI, I just notice here that there's tabs at the bottom. May not be as bad as I thought. Ah! And there's even a photo tab. I was actually thinking how perfect it would be if AC had something like Brawl's photo system when I was playing Wild World a few weeks back, and according to Eguchi, we'll be able to send these pictures to Wii Message Boards, PCs, and cell phones. Yay for not having to use some decripting program to view photos!

The city does indeed seem larger than at first glance, you're able to go to both the right and left.

In addition, at the upper left hear you see a movie theater. Wonder what's that for? Seems maybe something like HOME's TV screens. I wouldn't be surprised if there's an arcade somewhere here where you can play VC games and demos.

FINALLY batch-selling! I have no idea why they took this out of the DS version but I'm very pleased they put it back in.
