i want to read up on it to figure out how you catch it and what it does exactly but am horrified about the possible pictures.

My dad had it once a long long time ago.

Speaking of ancient diseases, I had scarlet fever twice as a kid. In English class in 9th grade we started talking about diseases and vaccines for whatever reason, and my teacher was like "okay who has had chicken pox? *everyone raises hands* who has had polio? *no one* scarlet fever? *just me*" haha. I had no idea it was so uncommon anymore until then. I was like WTF I had it TWICE how does that happen!?
