Fitting tips for my new pair of Shures

What's the best way to plug in these things? 

They sound fantastic, btw.  Thanks to whoever at EB that mentioned it.  I didn't even know about Shure until someone mentioned it here.

Well, they most likely don't sound twice as good as $150 earbuds but that's how audio stuff works.  As you get to the higher of the spectrum, the price/performance curve increasingly flattens. 

Anyways, back to the original question, I can hear my heart beating when there's no sound, is that getting a bit too deep? 

Also, how do you pull off the plugs?  I couldn't get them off by twisting and I didn't want to use too much force.

I have that model. Are you using the foam tips or something else? Just smush the foam together, stick them slightly in your ear, then twist a little until they feel snug and you don't hear anything from the outside. They shouldn't be too deep. Use the large foam tips.
